Thanks but I have more than enough evidence to support every assertion I make. I've been in this business for 5 years now and I know way more about how it works than you I'm afraid. I see all sorts of statistics about calls and viewers, so thanks but my assertions are perfectly sound.

Again, and I get that you'll say this sounds arrogant and in this case I don't care, I know how the business works. I know how our viewers behave. I see patterns and trends. Many thanks but in this instance what you say about the rest of our viewers is based on how you view the shows and what you think other people do, what I base my views on is statistics and other factual things we do to understand all sides of our audience. In fact, reading this forum is another way we try and gauge other facets of our audience.

What we're trying to tell you is that, far from achieving that purpose, they're actually having the opposite effect. (Yes, I've read the claims about increased sales but, as I've said previously, that would be happening anyway with the ever-increasing digital audience and you have no way of telling the difference.)
Again... we see the effects of what we do. No offence, but you don't have a clue. So while your suggestions and observations, and indeed complaints, are more than welcome and we will read and try and understand them all, please don't try and tell us that you know better than us how our promotions and things work, and how our audience behaves. Because frankly you don't.

I didn't say it presents a problem, I said we understand there are problems with the framing during the show and we complain about them too... (i.e. we complain about the same thing).
Sorry to anyone offended by this post or that is inevitably going to call me arrogant. I'm not trying to be but quite frankly I'm fed up of reading posts telling us we don't know how our viewers behave and how our promotions work. We spend literally hours, days and weeks developing systems to analyse things and looking at the data we have, and so we do have a factual basis for most of the things we do.
