RE: UFC
Yeah it was a close fight but I think the majority though Kampmann won it as his strikes were more precise then any of Diego's but it just goes to show how wrestling is still viewed as a big sport in the US when 1 takedown can gain you a decision even with a face like the aftermath of a stampede.
The way Joe Rogan was bigging up Martin Kampmann before the fight makes you wonder why he was on a small show like this but like I've said many a time he is the UFC's biggest bitch when it comes to fights like this & he's missed a big chance here to force them to give him a title shot, so the next time we see him will be in England some time later in the year as a tester for one of the many so called next big things.
Michael Bisping looks like he could be in a bit of trouble.
UFC president Dana White appeared on the Versus pre-fight show last night prior to UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann where he discussed Bisping's immediate future, prompted by the question of whether or not he would be willing to put a Bisping-Chael Sonnen match up together, as Sonnen has been publicly campaigning for that fight.
"Michael Bisping is in trouble right now," said White. "Michael Bisping is a guy who I've liked and have had a good relationship with since 'The Ultimate Fighter.' I'm very disappointed in the way that he conducted himself during that fight. I think the knee was intentional, I think he did do it on purpose. I think he saw him in that position, he looked at him and threw the knee and obviously I don't like what he did after the fight either. Mike and I still need to talk and then I'll figure out what's next for Michael Bisping."
Personally I don't see them suspending him this early in the year as they will want him of one of the UK cards especially after the fans over here complained at the lack of recognised tallent on the UK cards & I still don't see them bringing over any big name world stars so they'll think if we give them Michael Bisping & say Chael Sonnen then they'll be happy as Larry, well as much as I'd like for Bisping to be given a big fight, Larry can go fuck himself as I still wanna see the likes of Forrest Griffin, Anderson Silva & GSP fighting over here.

I would tend to agree that the knee was deliberate, and disappointing...but i never saw any of this negativity aimed at Dan Henderson when Hendo had knocked Bisping out and then landed a haymaker on the already un-concious Bisping...Yes he should be punished maybe financially for the knee but in terms of his standing within the company, that should not be effected!
