RE: Football Banter
Cant understand why there was no Premiership this weekend surely the teams involved in the cup could have just rearragned their fixtures like Reading have to do, they are gonna have to do it on semis weekend so why not this weekend ? Reading will have to rearrange another game if they beat City which is not beyond them, also there is a Premiership on the same day/weekend as the final whats that about

Only if he'd pulled the little puff back by his snood - Oh sorry I forgot, he's now not allowed to wear his little snood anymore is he? Seems to have lost his firepower somewhere inside that snood, rather like his mate Chamakh, who's neck was sited for the first time ever on British soil yesterday

Not quite accordeing to the News Of The World, but according to some lazy NotW ' journalist' who bought a copy of a Manchester United fanzine outside the ground before yesterday's match, flicked through to the relevant pages and plagiarised the story and termed it an exclusive. It's pretty common knowledge amongst match-going Reds anyway that the player's days at Old Trafford are numbered, the only snag is who could afford/want him - Manchester City are a yes/yes, but would he have the bottle to move across town, and Real Madrid are the only other option and well known for taking United cast-offs

It sure is when you're out of the FA Cup! But I do agree with you, the FA Cup - and Champions League - are fuck-all compared to the only prize that truly matters.

man city v man utd, for once i want man utd to win because it will show you cant buy success, then man utd to lose to bolton or stoke in the final.
Honestly, it felt like deja vu' when I read the NotW piece in the canteen at work this lunchtime - don't these people have any shame in stealing other people's work and not even accrediting them?
I think that from Rooney's very body language for the whole of this season he looks like he just wants out. He's a pretty unintelligent lad really who is saved from a life of I-don't know-what by his footballing ability, and his agent has clearly convinced him that he wants to move. He reminds me of the almost zombie-like Fernando Torres in his last 18-months at Anfield and I've pretty much given up on his coming good this season. If he wants out then good riddance to him, I say!
In last season's Carling Cup semi-final, most United fans would have accepted defeat in the final at the expense of knocking City out of the semis, and the same scenario seems to be playing itself out this time around in the former-greatest-cup-competition-in-the-world! From a neutrals' perspective it would have made for a better final, but I guess it's just not meant to be, whereas the Merseyside clubs always used to avoid each other at the semi-final stage in bygone years (1984, 1986, 1989).
I'm pretty certain that the Manchester derby will be the final-elect as I cannot see either side losing in the final, decent a side as Bolton Wanderers are and tough opponents as Stoke are.

RE: Football Banter
I had a feeling this might happen, i was the same last week when the "sloth" aka kuyt help the mersey mongs beat our 1st team so i understand why their keeping stum about this or maybe their not a big a fan of all things liverpool as they make out but ill break the news to all the other muppets on here who follow the 'history boys' our youth team gave the scousers some payback by beating their youth team 3-2 in the FA cup, we even gave you a 2 goal advantage just to make it a contest but you could'nt manage to hang on to the lead, it must be all to familiar being knocked out of the FA cup by UTD but you've had many a year being beneath us so i guess your use to it. it's all very well banging 9 goals in against the mighty barnsley but it's alittle different when you come up against a the better teams, ill admit sterling looks a quality player but 'to tall' was outshone by ravel morrisson this lad's gonna be a top player in years to come for us. it was a good game considering how bad the ref was who needlessly sent 3 of the 4 players off.
