Havent posted on here in a while and to be honest i've taken my eye off the ball as regards UFC lately. I must say though, i'm looking forward to tomorrow night.
Shogun V Jones is gonna be a belter. I'll be hoping for a new champ but more importantly, should Bones Jones be unsuccessful tomorrow night, i hope it doesnt affect him too much and it doesnt set him back too much. I dont think it'll come to that but confidence is a funny thing. At just 23 he is only a baby in MMA terms and has enough talent and ability to have long title reigns in the next 10-15 years.
Should be a great night with a good card overall
Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

Both will obviously be looking to fight to their strengths which makes for an interesting fight...Jones will probs look to use his crazy standup and his mixture of punches and elbows to catch Shogun off balance and off guard and will probs try taking the Brazilian to the deck to use his boss groundnpound. Shogun will probs try and avoid taking it to the ground. For me he'll keep the fight standing and try to land some big shots on Jones to test his ability to take a solid shot.
Really tricky fight to call...But i'm gonna sway towards a Jon Jones win.
Jones to win by UD Points.
URIJAH FABER vs. EDDIE WINELAND
So the superstar that is Urijah Faber finally makes his UFC debut..2 different style fighters on show here aswell lads. Faber for me is stronger,a better wrestler and has better take downs than most. If he can take the fight to the deck he'll submit Wineland for me or pound him into submission. If Wineland can keep it on the feet he can use his pretty handy boxing to get at Faber....But it's a BIG if, but Wineland has one punch knockout power that makes him a danger to everyone he fights. So another interesting fight.
Faber to win by Submission Round 2.
JIM MILLER vs. KAMAL SHALORUS
Think this will stay on the feet..I know next to nothing about Shalorus though other than the lads an undefeated fighter. So for that reason im gonna take him to have the upper hand...In saying that..THIS IS THE UFC BABY!!!! Shalorus is making his UFC debut and will want to impress.Lets hope it's a stand up fight and we see a Knockout or something good lol
Shalorus win by KO Round 2.
NATE MARQUARDT vs. DAN MILLER
A good fight here i think.Marquardt will be looking to try and put together a few wins and move back up the pecking order in the Middleweight Div.Miller is a replacement for Yoshihiro Akiyama and will be eager to make the most of his chance after being moved up from a Pre Lim fight.Marquardt will surely keep the fight on the feet, his last five wins have come by knockout...So there's no reason for him to go and change it up. Miller's a tough lad but for me Marquardt has the power in the fight.Miller might try and take him down and submit him..but i'd be surprised if he's got what it takes to beat someone like Nate Marquardt.
Marquardt to win by UD Points.
BRENDAN SCHAUB vs. MIRKO CRO COP
CRO COP = MMA LEGEND.
Schaub WILL try his sack off to take this to the deck for me.WHY? I hear u say? Well...Because he knows that if he stands up he could get sparkled by the old dog! and for an up and coming star in the making that's not a risk he'll want to take.Cro Cop will probs look to land a punch or kick to stop Schaub.Schaub though is a powerful talented fighter and i expect him to weather Cro Cop's storms and win the fight and add a good scalp to his record.Think he'll take Mirko to the ground and pound him out.
Schaub to win by TKO via Groundnpound.
SHOGUN/JONES - Weigh in -
Really think we'll get a great show tonight. So hope u lads enjoy it.
PS:Mitchell,my hats off to u for previewing these events every month lad.I've put some effort into mines this time and they take a bit of typing...
Mmmmm looks like somene's trying to steal my thunder!!! from what I've heard from the last event your conduct around here has been brought into question so you might wanna watch yourself there young boy!!!
There's also this guy cj666 on the prowl & he's don't take too kindly to an open opinion...
UFC 128 Live 2am ESPN
Brendan Schaub v Mirko Filipović - Schaub TKO Nate Marquardt v Dan Miller - Mardquardt Split Decision Jim Miller v Kamal Shalorus - Miller Submission Urijah Faber v Eddie Wineland - Faber Split Decision Maurício Rua v Jon Jones - Rua Unanimous Decision
These are gonna be shown on Facebook but I'm hoping will make the show at the end as I think they could be good fights. Ricardo Almeida v Mike Pyle
These 2 veterans face off in a fight that will on doubt take place on the ground & after a victory over the upcoming John Hathaway Mike Pyle will be hoping to add to the momentum where as Almedia will be looking to carry on his comeback after his loss to Matt Hughes, this may not be a spectacular fight be it could be a very intriguing ground battle. Pyle - Split Decision Kurt Pellegrino v Gleison Tibau
Kurt Pellegrino was on a decent 4 fight win streak before losing a decision to George Sotiropoulos dispite tearing his anterior cruciate ligament & meniscus in the first round, he'll now be hoping to get back to winning ways after 8 months out but faces a tough task in Brazilian Tibau who has a UFC record is 7-5 & has never won 3 consecutive fights in the UFC & is coming into this after losing to Jim Miller.
These 2 fighters have a combined 23 fights in the UFC 10 of which have taken place in either a Fight Night card of TUF Finale & both have faced some good competition, so unless Kurt Pellegrion suffers ring rust then this should be a decent fight. - Pellegrino Unanimous - Decision
