i did hint that in my previous posts that the fa (inconsistant bunch of wankers) are taking the 1st opportunity to punish rooney for the "elbow" on mccarthy back in march.

The Rooney verdict is tomorrow at 10:00am. I'm not aware of when this new rule of banning players for swearing was introduced to be honest, but the McCarthy business was over a month ago now and I feel the FA are just obsessed with the perceived idea from the media and ABUs that United's supposed refereeing benefits have to be seen to be redressed.

I said at the time that the FA are playing the same game as referees when they wrongly give a corner and then spot a phantom infringement when the corner is in mid-flight so as to correct their original mistake.

Rooney is undoubtedly an under-educated idiot of lower-level intelligence who just happens to be a gifted footballer and is thus thrust into the goldfish bowl that is the Premiership and all the media attention that goes with it. However, I'm convinced that there is clearly a witchhunt against him by the FA, which I just see as unfair.

If Rooney was bright enough to think for himself he could do a lot worse than to announce his retirement from international football with immediate effect as he no longer wishes to contribute to an FA's profits through the medium of image rights and goals, which persecutes him and singles him out for punishment whilst overlooking far greater acts of foul play throughout the game.

The media would soon come down on his side, not to mention the England Manager, the FA would almost certainly retract from this victimisation of Rooney (remember the Shearer v Lennon 1999/00 precedent?) and the player would then retract his retirement in time for the next round of internationals! But he won't because he's a) not got the bottle, and b) because he's a thick [unt!

Unfortunately the matches were arranged some time soon after the draw was made; ITV will doubtless try to sex it up as some sort of mission impossible and have loads of footage of Ronaldo et al in the build-up but that's just the way things have fallen. The United v Chelsea tie is not over by a long way and indeed remains the only one that seems worthy of a look-in next week!

By the way, don't you have Sky Mal?

Whether the games are shown on Sky or ITV completely depend on their dates. ITV are busy showing Coronation Street or Jordan Katona or whatever it is on Tuesday's so only show the footie on Wednesday. Sky show the other games then they alternate for the second leg

Errr...I think Ground, that that's EXACTLY what they do want actually, especially given that Rooney's ugly face has provided Sky with the sports news story of the week and therefore limitless and priceless free publicity

As for being a role model to millions of kids, that much is true - far better to get together with a group of your mates, go to a Southport nightclub and then beat up the DJ to a pulp when he refuses to play Phil Collins' shite when you've requested it. You might even get a sniff of the England captiancy then Wayne, la...you'd certainly get away with it sooner than if you swear on a football pitch in front of all those lily-livered selectively-offended kids la! And anyway, why should Ancelotti be done for what he said last night? He only spoke the truth as it clearly should have been a penalty, just like Ferguson only spoke the truth after the league match five weeks prior on the same ground - I presume that the people asking these questions do actually want to hear the truth as opposed to some self-censored bollocks like Rafael Benitez deliberately served up for them last season!

I agree with you that Rooney is a fucking idiot who just can't help himself when it comes to finding trouble. It all stems from the elbow to the head of James McCarthy of Wigan, his subsequent getting-away-with-it and the FA taking their first given opportunity to punish him as soon as he transgressed again. He's only got himself to blame.

But answer me this one - who actually caused any physical hurt to anyone - Rooney or Gerrard?

If Kids' parents are going to go round allowing footballers to be so-called role models to their children then they really aren't fit to be parents in the first place and should've worn a condom all those years ago or spunked their load over her tits. Being a role model is the job first and foremost of a parent, not some fucking thick-as-shit toerag who just happens to be good at football.

This whole footballers as role models bollocks is just lazy journalism stemming from the blue-rinsed Mary Whitehouse brigade of the 1960s/70s. If kids are going to be influenced by the likes of pricks like Wayne Rooney - and others' - swearing then how come they're not supposedly influenced by the far-more-audible sounds emanating from the terraces on television every week such as You **** bastard!, The referee's a wanker!, Fuck-off ****! etc etc etc? What's the difference?

I've never been influenced by any footballer in my life, and no singer or actor or anyone else I've ever admired has ever caused me to behave any differently to how I've ever wanted to behave. I watch these people for entertainment, a sense of belonging, etc etc, but I certainly don't expect these idiots to tell me how to behave, for fuck's sake!

Face it, the only offensive thing that Rooney really did last Saturday was to drop a great big fucking steaming turd from a great height onto the faces of all those people who were wanking themselves stupid just one hour earlier at the thought of United losing to West Ham!
