Dalglish has succeeded any ‘expectations’, How is this when we'll finish around 20 points behind the winners, 15 to 20 points is the usual for us in 4th or 5th place, so Kenny would've been expected to get the kind of finish he has done, therefore he obviously coped with the pressure as did the players,
It amazes me that people seem to think Liverpool players & managment don't have the mentality to succeed yet we always bounce back to where we have been for the past 20 years, yes thoses 20 years haven't been good enough but the moden day premier League is greatly different, proven by the likes of Bolton, Tottenham & Sunderland before Darren Bent side stepped to Aston Villa yet people still seem to think we haven't got what it takes, don't you all remember the 2006 FA Cup final or the 2005 European Cup final & all the games that went with it!!!
A bit of credit people, a bit of credit. Look at what you see, don't just believe what you used to read!!!

But we were miles ahead of Citeh before he came along with already being in the Champions League (At the expense of Liverpool I’m sure you’ll remember ) and being serious title contenders a few years prior so comparisons with both them and Everton don’t really work.
I was trying to say that some Chelsea fans a have got carried away with recent success & don't remember all the hard work the Claudio Ranieri side did without any of Roman's money (I think) & the same with Tottenham, so what makes you think it can't be any different with Liverpool.
Chelsea weren't in the European Cup every season before the Russian rubles but Liverpool have more or less consistently been there all the way through all the poor seasons we've had & now with the club in it's best shape prior to the Heysel disaster & things being done in the right manor we have put ourselves in with a great chance of getting some consistency which will give us a great chance of closing the usual 15 to 20 point gap or maybe even putting together some sort of title challenge.
The Man City part was now they're 2 games away from the big league they'll think that they are now a top 4 side & think they'll be there every year & making statments that they're gonna win the league, yes it happened at Chelsea but City will no doubt go about things in the same manor as Real Madrid, buying all the big names without a thought of how things are gonna work & then sacking the manager when the mish mash of expensive signings don't quite work out as they did in the dream the night before.
As for Arsenal, as I've said before I don't see them winning the Premier League again under Arsene Wenger, the reason being his style as good as it is is too predictable & has now become reasonable for teams like Stoke & Bolton to not only stop them playing but also to get results against them, that said I don't see them falling out of the top 4 on a permanent basis as they are one of if not the best team when it comes to putting a 10 game winning run together although that is very dificult in the Premier League nowadays.
If they were gonna win the league it would've been this season when Utd & Chelsea weren't at their best for large parts of the season yet Arsenal couldn't capitalise on that & I don't see it changing in the next few seasons.
I think Liverpool, Arseanl, City & Tottenham will have to make do with the fact that from now on there will be 2 of them not getting in the European Cup & this will spell danger for the 5th placed team for the following season unless they use the shitty cup to play a young side, depending on the performances of these teams & the changes at Chelsea with a few players in & out & the change in manager (At some point) at Utd along with the new young side there may even be a possibility of one of these sides not getting in the European Cup on the odd occasion???
