I still want to know why the unicycling fairy was carrying a hunting horn. She didn't blow it or anything. Anyway we should all be grateful that fcuking Jedward didn't win. I'd never actually seen them perform before last night and it's not an experience I want to repeat.

A bit of Eurovision trivia last night. Estonia were the only country that no one gave a top 3 score to i.e. 12, 10 or 8 points. And they still didn't finish bottom. And the country who finished bottom, Switzerland, with 18 points received 10 of them from the UK. So in effect us Brits enjoyed the song twice as much as the rest of Europe put together

just shows how crap the powers that be in this country are at picking and judging music

Had a result and won £32 on Azerbaijan so the drinks are on me.

Lena was gorgeous. Most of the songs were crap. The voting was typically neighbourly to put it mildly. Thought France had the best performance tbh. And Italy finishing so high was laughable. Just another daft competition with very strange outcomes.

Can't help thinking that Italy finished high so that they wouldn't go off in a huff again.

I never watched the Eurovision song contest, if you ask me it's not about music and never has, it's all about politics so that might explain why the UK sent a crappy boyband to represent the UK. The UK has arguably produced many of the top bands and musicians over the year's so if we really did think it was about the music and not politics would we send Blue, probably not in my views, let's face it the UK music industry doesn't and never has given 2 fucks about the numerous acts it has sent to represent us at Eurovision. I would rather drink a bucket of piss than watch the Eurovision song contest.
