RE: tvgirlsgallery.co.uk
I've been trying out the site for a few days now, so I thought I'd share my opinions publicly:
Plus Points
- Being able to hotlink full images (which I can't do with imagevenue)
- Galleries being available publicly
- Storing the galleries under the uploader's profile
Things I'd like to see different
- The thumbnails are rather small. I would like the option to choose larger ones
- Only being able to upload five images at a time is time-consuming when there's a large number of caps.
- The file naming system (4-character hexadecimal) seems a bit random, and means I have to keep a mental note of which caps I've uploaded.
Overall, I'm happy to continue using the host for my caps. I'd encourage other cappers to give it a go as well, especially those who usually use imagechunk, which personally I wouldn't touch with a bargepole now due to its slowness and unreliablility.
A question for admin: I noticed there's a password protect option for public galleries. Should I use this if I'm uploading, for example, Kitty Lea or Alice Goodwin nightshow caps, which are supposed to be in a protected area? It's particularly relevant as Kitty's doing a night show tonight.

If you password protect the gallery, then you will have to post the password within your post, or no one will be able to see the full size images.
Plus, I tried it when the site first started, and it didn't work anyway. I could still browse the gallery even though I didn't log in. I don't know if that has been corrected since then. But since a lot of people still use other hosts to post caps of both Kitty & Alice, and there still public galleries, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just go ahead and post as normal.
