Is it possible they bought up one licence that another broadcaster was disposing of as an experiment and decided it was not worth converting their other channels? Anyone know what the licence was used for before or if it was brand new?
Eccles, your post reminded me of an obvious point which I'd totally forgotten - most of Cellcast's channels are operated under licences granted by Ofcom!
Sky:
906: Babestation = Dutch licence
909: Get Lucky = Ofcom
910: Lucky Star = Ofcom
951: Blue Kiss (used to come from Cellcast, now leased to Bluebird) = Ofcom
They also used to have Babecast (907) but that was licenced under Friendly TV = Ofcom.
Freeview:
Babestation = Dutch licence
Smile TV = Ofcom
The licence info is all on the Ofcom site.
So there we are - only two Cellcast channels are in fact Dutch, and they are the original Babestation ones. The fact that they've never implemented more Dutch licences confirms the fact that it's more bother than it's worth, especially when they had no intention of showing harder stuff on FTA.

If only Sky channel 906 has a Dutch licence why do they show the Dutch 16 certificate and symbols when the programs start at 9pm on 909 and 910 ?
Also if freeview channel 96 "Babestation" is the only channel on freeview with a Dutch licence why do all the others start with the Dutch 16 cert symbols ?
If the "Smile TV" channels have a Ofcom licence and not Dutch then how come freeview Ch 95 "Smile TV 3" stars at 10pm , a full 2 hours before Ofcom allow Adult Teleshopping channels to broadcast on freeview ?.
Ofcom also mentioned them selves last year when they brought out the new rules that the Cellcast channels would not be affected by the changes because they had a Dutch licence , i think at that time BS1 , BS2 , and BSXtra were transmitted on freeview , they said only Partyland would be affected on freevieW because it had a Ofcom licence at that time and was owned and licenced to channel 5 , that licence was later transferred to "Square 1 Management Limited"
I have sent "babestation" a PM asking them to clarify which of their channels do actually have a Dutch or Ofcom licence , and asked them to either PM me with the info or post on this thread . so i am hoping for a reply .
Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

Sorry to drift off topic, but was this unencrypted BSXtreme an 'accident' or intentional? I missed it, typically.
