I did hear it ages ago that she was one of the producers. Can't speak with any authority about this but it would explain a lot!

No my reaction is now sadly more cynical. I see her on the phone and I assume it is just another money making attempt. "Oh look, for one time only tonight call Geri now".

Yeah I agree she's made some really bad decisions lately: Geri - You cannot get away with regularly promising "one time only naked Geri" etc. Your viewers are not idiots, and you're not the world's greatest con artist so all you're doing is insulting people's intelligence.
