RE: UFC
Thought Ross Pearson was impressive last night, great attitude that lad's got.Good fighter.Could see the Brazilian really giving him a lesson but no chance.Fight of the night aswell £100,000 in the bank.

Bad loss for B Schaub, thought he'd take Nog out pretty sharpish!! Lookin at Nogs record we should've known better than to think Schaub would walk through him. He's only really lost to the best.

Fights i can see left for Anderson Silva are the winner of Brian Stann v Chael Sonnen next.GSP or Jon Jones at whatever weight they decide on.That's it for me.He'll blow everyone else away.

Dana White on Anderson Silva. “What happens next is we’ll talk to him, see what he’s thinking about what he wants to do. Forrest (Griffin) thinks he should fight two guys at the same time.” Big Laugh

Dana White Admits It’s Almost Time for Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre

It’s hard to argue with the idea that Anderson Silva is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport. It’s even hard to argue that he’s not the greatest fighter in mixed martial arts history.

So with 15 straight victories and nine straight title defenses, what’s left for the fighter who apparently can’t be beaten?

According to UFC President Dana White, that’s something they will have to sit down with Silva and talk about following his latest win at UFC 134 over Yushin Okami.

“You’re out of your mind if you don’t think this guy is pound-for-pound the best fighter in the world. People will say ‘oh he needs to be challenged’. The 185lb division has a ton of great fighters, the reality is this guy is so good he makes it look like it’s not,” White said following the fights.

“What happens next is we’ll talk to him, see what he’s thinking about what he wants to do. Forrest (Griffin) thinks he should fight two guys at the same time.”

Given Silva’s ability to go in and not only win but to finish just about every opponent he faces in the Octagon, having two fighters face him might not be a bad idea.

All jokes aside, White understands that with Silva’s current winning streak and the status of UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, it’s hard to ignore that super fight from finally coming to fruition.

“I think there’s a couple of other fights out there for him at 85, and it’s clear No. 1 that fans want to see this fight, and Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre are both getting into a position here pretty soon, they both only want really big fights, but they’re getting into a position here where that fight’s going to make sense,” White stated.

The challenges at 185lbs may include a rematch with Chael Sonnen, provided the Team Quest fighter can get past Brian Stann at UFC 136 in October. Another potential bout could be a rematch against Dan Henderson in the UFC, but it’s unknown at this time if Strikeforce’s current light heavyweight champion would opt to drop back down to middleweight for that fight.

The one thing to take away for sure following the mega event in Brazil is that Anderson Silva is just happy to be where he’s at right now. For all the accolades he receives, Silva just likes to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his victory, and he’s not calling anybody out or asking anyone to call him the greatest.

“It was awesome to be able to fight here in Brazil and for the Brazilian people, and to have so many amazing MMA fighters on the same card that I was on, and to have my special friend in my corner, Pedro Rizzo, as my corner so that was extremely special for me,” Silva said after his win.

It’s his very humility outside the cage and unbelievable ferociousness inside the cage that make Anderson Silva the greatest this sport has ever seen.

UFC Middleweight Championship: Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami – Silva, TKO, R2
Maurício Rua vs. Forrest Griffin – Rua, DEC
Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Brendan Schaub – Schaub, TKO, R2
Edson Barboza vs. Ross Pearson – Barboza, DEC
Luiz Cane vs. Stanislav Nedkov – Cane, DEC

Well I called 4/5 right. I called everything correctly in the ME so yeah me!

Nogueira's KO of Schaub in Nogueira's native Brazil is my favourite result of a fight so far this year. Amazing to think the UFC returns to Brazil and not one of the fights ends in a submission.

RE: UFC
I was confused yesterday when my dad started a conversation with 'ever heard of a cagefighter called Ross Pearson'. He'd meet him yesterday, didn't know who he was until someone had told him. Was just a quick hello and brief chat. Think he was quite surprised he was a nice lad, think he had the idea 'cagefighters' were all knuckle-dragging meatheads. Really annoyed my dad got to meet him when i wasn't about. He had a couple of stitches above one eye but wasn't bruised up like he might have been a few days after a fight.

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos headlines UFC's debut on FOX.

UFC president Dana White today announced that Velasquez and Dos Santos will headline UFC on FOX 1, which takes place Nov. 12 at the Honda Center in California.

The event marks the UFC's debut on network television and kicks-off a seven-year deal between the UFC and FOX.

Velasquez and Dos Santos were expected to meet in the main event of UFC 139, which takes place just a week later, on Nov 19. White said UFC 139 will go on as scheduled.A new main event will need to be secured for the card.

So basically the two will fight for the UFC Heavyweight Title 1 week before UFC 139 in the UFC's first ever show on Fox.

UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos November 12, 2011.

Here's some news we've been hoping not to hear. Rolleyes

U.K. fans won't be left out on UFC's network debut on FOX, Dana White said today.

Despite the fact that the promotion's British TV partner, ESPN UK, is under a different corporate roof than that of FOX's U.K. counterpart Sky, the event won't go dark, the UFC president promised today during an announcement of the Nov. 12 card's main event.

"We'll make this fight available," White said. "We'll figure this thing out."

How White plans to make the event available is the question of the day, and he declined to go into details about negotiations. But there's evidence that a move to FOX's U.K. counterpart (Sky) could be in the UFC's best long-term interest.

With the ESPN deal reportedly set to expire in August 2012, White hopes the UFC's seven-year deal with FOX will open the door to a partnership with Sky.

Let's hope it's not the start of PPV UFC in Britain.Although it sounds like it could be.
