Image sig's???

Just a quick question really. Been messing around with creating a few sigs, then realised image sig's are not allowed!

I know images sigs can start to bog down forums but a size limit can be enforced.

Anyway, just throwing it out there! What do you guys think?

i like the idea of image sigs, it makes it easier to recognise other users, and gives everyone more of an identity.

it might not be a good idea on here tho, this forum is usually quite quick at loading for me, i wouldn't want it to slow it down.

another thing to consider is the cost of running increased amounts of data, i don't know anything about the running costs, or funding this site receives through advertising, but it may be an issue on a forum that is growing all the time.

yes an avatar does this, but the term i used was "more of an identity", on other forums i use, the sig takes up a lot more space and its in the middle of the thread rather than at the side you tend to notice the sig more than the avatar.

I love sigs, but I disagree that it's easier to recognise other users as there will be thousands of screen-caps-fav models, tits & ass everywhere! It will make it easier to see what model someone prefers.

I much prefer it the way it is, it's more personal to the individual poster.

It also encourages some simple text that isn't eye-catching so I concentrate more on the post. Likewise when I see a phrase posted as a sig I google it. It's often a song & helps identify to me the person & what music he may like, or poem etc.
