RE: Petition
OK, i've read and digested a lot information concerning Ofcom and there blatant disregard of the censorship laws, which we all can agree on. However i'm trying to summarise in my own mind where this leaves us all.
Will we have babe channels by the end of this yr? In my opinion yes however i think certain channels are still playing it a little to safe, under the current restrictions Namely Redlight, xxxpanded tv and after the disastrous show concerning Lucy Summers the other night they can"t ill afford to do that again, i stress i'm not blaming Lucy at all.
I was reading in one of the earlier posts, that the babe channels are shit scared of Ofcom, and i agree. You often here the saying " If you want something bad enough By hook or by crook you won't stop until you get it"
Well i tend to feel the babe channels are guilty of this. Instead of them confronting Ofcom and coming together as a united front, there're happy to bury there heads in the sand and hope this all goes away, and thats a very foolish way of thinking.
Another question still remains, why is it that Babestation is the only one with a foreign licence? Why haven't the other channels followed suit? I think the way its going Babestation will be the only babe channel left, because it seems ofcom don't want the hassle with all the legal wranglings.
The way Ofcom are acting at this moment in time are like big bullies in the playground knowing full well, that it appears no one can touch them, however i do feel eventually when the babe channels start dying out, i hope the rest of the channels will man up grow a set of balls and take matters into there own hands. "better late than never springs to mind"
At the end of the day the situation that the babe channels are in are against a rock and a hard place, and i wouldn't envy there position for one moment, but the question still remains, how badly do the channels want change? If they are happy with the status quo, then they should get there P45s ready. If they want change bad enough they should get of there arses and do something about it. Simples!!
Ofcom seem to be holding all the cards, it's up to the channels to call there bluff and if we can help them anyway in this matter we will do. There's no easy solution to this, we all no it, but i do feel there is a solution to all of this, what? i'm not so sure, but i feel the babe channels need to make the first move.
