i dont want to put a dampener on things but surely we will need the backing of some of the channels if we are to go any further at some stage? i mean if they are happy with the way things are theres not a lot we can do is there?i would have thought by now we would have heard from at least two of their spokes persons on what their intentions are
I agree with you completely, I mean if I asked a babe channel producer in private to see what they thought, I bet you they would want to go back to how things used to be. However as we can see, that publicly there keeping a low profile. Now there's a couple of ways the producers might be thinking, No1- Calls keep flooding in so we don't need to do anything, and if we keep on the right side of Ofcom then everything should be fine for the forseable future. No 2- deep down they really want to push the boundaries on there sexual content, but if they start voicing there opinions in the public arena, then they might think ofcom will either fine them heavily or put them out of business totally.
I do agree with another member who said if people stop calling into the shows it'll force the producers hands to make a decision, either we wait and go bust due to lack of calls, or the channels come together as one against ofcom and put there best case forward.

Ok, I like you really do hope the babe channels will survive, however i do think when the producers of these shows start to look at there dwindling bank accounts then human nature will kick in, in otherwords survival
As we no it's hard enough to find a job these days let alone keep one, and the last thing the producers and these channels want, is to be lining up in the dole queue. And I do believe if things stay the way they are then this might be a reality
So in my opinion, they'll be some major shit hitting the fan before that happens, I also do believe that the government really needs to be made aware of the amount of money Ofcom are wasting, and with all the cuts this government is applying, I think there might be a good chance they might take a serious look at Ofcom and hopefully start to apply some major cuts in there budget.

RE: Petition
I can't help but think that a missed opportunity is being missed here, signatures at the moment is 249, but we are still stuck on page 17, if the channels all close within the next year, many people will look back at this moment and think if only I'd made my feelings known and count, we can serously improve the current situation but 249 or even 300 isn't going to cut any mustard, we need at least 1000 to make any kind of impact if any, anybody reading this who hasn't allready signed then now is as good a time as ever. Let's get the UK channels the talking point of the whole of Europe because if given the chance and cut a bit of slack from Ofcom with their out of date rules then I have no doubt we'd be producing shows of the highest quailty barr the censorship.

Very well said, and I agree, we need to at least get up to 1000 signatures to try and do something, this ain't gonna be easy but we all must try and play are part and do the best we can.
