Formula 1
sounds like the driver with the most wins rather than points will be named champion. sounds like a dumbass move to me. the points system will mean nothing if this happens. all that will matter is coming first.

RE: formula 1 change
Just heard about this new rule! What a complete pile of horse shit! Every team has TWO drivers! The top teams have two very good, well matched drivers each! Whichever driver wins the first race for a team means they have to get the other drivers support and he has to spend the rest of the season playing second fiddle! This has basically halved the amount of drivers who can compete for the championship! I can't see Ferrari or McLaren supporting both drivers after one of them produces 2 or 3 wins, the other guy might as well sit in the pits! Bernie Eccles cake is a rich, old fool ! I really hope that at the end of the season the winning driver has less points than the guy in second with the reliable car to show what a ludicrous rule this is! It's not all about having the number one driver.it takes over 1000 people to get each of those cars on the grid,it's a team sport! God I'm annoyed !!!!!!!!!!

RE: formula 1 change
So therefore if one driver is four wins in front of his nearest rival and there are only three races left that's it. Cue empty circuits.
Whichever sport anyone british and particularly english wins there is always a sudden rush to change the rules.
Didn't ecclestone want into the premier league not long since - applying this logic you could win 20 games, lose 18 and still be champions.
Can't see formula 1 sticking with these rules, yes you can win the title at the moment without necessarily winning a race but even if you finish second in every race doesn't that make you the best because you would have dealt with all conditions, certainly the most consistent.
would all those wishing to take part in today's round of multiple username bingo please note emails must be submitted before 5pm

RE: formula 1 change
they better do away with the podium for the 2nd and 3rd place finishers as only coming first matters. its a good thing shuey retired or the second half of the season would be pointless
