Steve-o I didn't relise that this forum was frequented by so many professors of the English language, and for somebody who accuses me of having such a poor grasp of the english language and for you to state it so categorically such as what you did, get your facts straight, my meaning was correct this what it means When you hold something or someone in contempt or have contempt for something, you have a powerful dislike for it and feel that it is undeserving of respect. So next time you go attacking my posts the way you did, make sure you get your facts straight so away back and look for your thesaurus as your not the English Professer which you claim to be. So who's the arse now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone thinks that a channel is so awful and worthless ("fucking grim," "worst ever," disgrace," etc), they're not going to feel contempt for the decision or whatever you call it to remove it from our screens, are they? They're going to feel the opposite: satisfaction or vindication, or whatever. Just sayin,' is all.

I could never understand how they managed to get the picture quality that poor.

You couldn't get a worse picture if you tried, it was like a pre recorded old scratched up video recording from the early 80's and that's being polite.
