Back To The Golden Age (If Only)
Let's just say that one day we all woke up and turned on the new's to hear the long awaited announcement. That Ofcom had been scrapped, and was being replaced with an organisation much more liberal and broad minded. When that happens many people will certainly have a spring in their step, for a while anyway, until excessive wanking and very little sleep took it's toll. What an exciting time that would be. And who would be the first channel to get back into the old routine? My thoughts on this is that the present day channels would be dreading such a thing and be off like a shot from a cannon. Leaving the way open for more forward thinking people to take over. What would be more of an intrigue, is which of the girls would be willing to be proper adult stars? Instead of the coy shy performers that most of them have become. It would be interesting to find out. But would some of you say that this letter as been a waste of time and effort on my part as what I am hoping for will never happen? Well if it's not to be. I just hope my meanderings have kept you entertained for the time it took you to read it.

I don't really understand your point about the dayshows being 'off like a shot from a cannon'. Why would they? If rules were relaxed to that extent, then the dayshows would just revert to putting out the saucy stuff that got them into trouble with Ofcom in the first place. I think all of the channels have girls who would be willing to go as far as the rules allowed, so I don't see why any of them would be dreading such a liberal and broad minded organisation.

RE: Back to the golden age.(if only)
To be perfectly honest we've never really had a golden age, more just fleeting moments which have been all too brief with some of the channels taking it a wee bit further, we've had Babestar TV in 2006 for example which for all it's full frontal, it was still very much softcore compared to what the rest of Europe were showing, it was based more on Innuendo's than anything, I'd dearly love to see a new age as the golden age as far as I'm concerned never happened and is really just a myth similar to when people talk about the good old days. Bring on a new dawn instead of harking back to the past which their were no glory.

I was about to hit the 'thanks' button until I read this. All the channels moving to online-only won't have achieved anything. Sure, those of us who want harder shows will get their wish, but only on a purely visual basis. Such a move will mean that Ofcom have won in their fight againts adult material on tv.

Stan I'm sorry if I misled you by referring to present day channels (I didn't say present 'day' shows). Meaning the output being broadcast in today,s day and age as in "present day" (day and night). And regarding the existing channels staying put, I don't think so. If future tv became more liberal why would you need pay per view channels which all the company's are now involved in in some way. Why would they want to cut off their nose to spite their face? After all Stan would you pay if there was a free alternative?

I'm sorry, RESPONSIBLE ADULT, I'm as confused as ever and really don't understand what it is you're asking.
I thought you were simply asking us to imagine a world without Ofcom and a more liberal and broad-minded organisation in their place. If this were to happen the channels would simply revert to how they were before Ofcom clamped down. I don't see how your proposed scenario get's any more complex than that.
