I know foreign comparisons are boring and can be misleading, but Ive been watching Argentinian Celebrity Come Dancing, where some of the dances are performed almost naked, and its quite noticable that the studio audience is full of couples of all ages and they enjoy the shows.

RE: Petition
Watching the babe shows tonight is pure torture with very little action or none taking place and these channnels are still expecting people to call, why the fuck should we, RLC despite the exceptionally hot models they have on are wasting away as not one of them has anything but topless which is nice but it ain't going to hold my attention for all that long, Elite is easily the worst with all the models more or less fully clothed annoyed, xxXpanded TV well again they don't do naked even on a weekend and as for Cellcast well it's the best of a bad bunch despite the huge OSG's yet very few seem interested in signing the petition, all I see tonight is a bunch of models going through the motions until the clock hits 5.30 so they can all piss off to their beds if they haven't allready done likewise to the viewer's, the way these channels are run by safety first, running scared of Ofcom is just a shambolic way to do business as the product onscreen just isn't up to scratch and blame must be on the side of the producers and also to Ofcom who have stifiled any kind of creativity that remained in these channels, I know it's only Monday night but it's not fucking good enough and if they carry on with this don't give a fuck about challenging Ofcom then the only future for these channels is almost certain bankruptcy as very few will call, for example on Lucy Summer's show last night because of the restrictions put on her she did a fair amount of phone waving and begging for calls which just goes to show just how bad these channels are now getting if they don't buck their idea's up and prove to us that they do give a shit and are ready and willing to fight Ofcom tooth and nail to get some kind of improvement in what is fast becoming a bag of shit!!!!!!!!annoyedannoyed

RE: Petition
Well good or bad another milestone has been reached with 350 signatures for the petition, it would be great if 400 could be achieved before the end of this weekend Cool

I don't really understand what we're celebrating? It's been said from the start that we need 100,000 signings to get it discussed in parliament. By my maths we're 99,650 short of our target, so what have we achieved?

RE: Petition
Stan it would be great to get 100,000 signatures but it just isn't going to happen so I think we have to set our aspirations much lower now, 350 isn't great but it's far from a disaster and it does give us something to build on at least, also the more we get the more this will get noticed, MP's are known to visit this site so a couple of thousand could well be enough not to get it debated in parliment but it could do significant damage to the reputation of Ofcom and could be enough for the Government to call time on this non elected qaungo bladewave

RE: Petition
I admire your optimism, SB, but personally I think we're just going to have to sweat it out and wait for the winds of change to come and blow Ofcom away like they did Mary Whitehouse and every other porn clamp down that's come and gone over the last ninety years.

RE: Petition
The way things stand at this moment in time Ofcom seem to be holding all the cards however, i did have a thought, and I would like to no everyone's thoughts on the matter. What about getting the Europeon regulators involved? I'm not sure what the process is or how Europe operates concerning Adult content in the Eurpoeon continent?
I tend to think if the coalition government doesn't want get involved, why not expose Ofcom to the European Regulators? It's just a thought guys, so let me what you think.Smile

RE: Petition
Good point mate, I was thinking the same thing. I guess it's better to something than nothing, but if it's not getting us anywhere maybe we need to come at it from different angle perhaps? It's just I'm not sure what the angle is?
