RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels
Last night and recent shows even when all the top models have been out has seen alarming drops in standards, was watching back some old recordings from the early part of 2011 and it's worrying times when you see just how far they have slipped down the ladder, it's difficult to really pinpoint what has gone wrong, the Ofcom question is the obvious conclusion but also the easy reason for the recent run of ever more poor shows. What will 2012 bring as we are entering the end of this year, that I couldn't predict, it could still go either way frankly, the worst and most pessimistic way is to come to the conclusion that it'll only get worse, more channels getting their licences revoked and more safety first models and producers, the optimistic would say things can only get better, I think a lot of cracks in the pavement are now beginning to show and drastic changes are needed, I've seen more than my fair share of phone waving in recent times and when the top models are doing it too you only need to see that the problems are getting deeper and can't surely be good enough for a successful business to operate under. Big changes are needed and the Ofcom question has to be addressed

RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels
Without action, and with dwindling viewers (and I assume callers given the phone waving phenomenon), the channels are doomed to slowly fade away. With no change, how many will still be here in 12 months time is anyone's guess...
Ofcom and current financial climate play their part, as do the channel owners, producers and on-screen presenters. But I think those are easy catch-phrases and don't actually define the problem. My belief is generation Y who've grown up with this stuff, and know there's plenty more out there showing more and costing less, have effectively "moved on". The channels can't last without the income they were bringing to supplement what any of generation X (read old gits) were spending.
Perhaps this type of show has had it's day...???

Yes that's the problem Dirk, these shows really need to move with the times, they are being held back by Ofcom, technology these days is getting better and soon all the inferier quailty of the Web Shows will have their creases ironed out, not to mention the future of Television when SKY, Virgin will all be a thing of the past and every channel in the world will be available via the inbuilt Internet TV Channels, the type of shows these channels are producing are lagging behind in the times and yes unless big changes are made their days will be indeed numbered, far too much phone waving and the babe channels have 2 options, move with the times or go the same way as the dinosaurs.

RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels
Yep you're right matey, i especially feel for our beloved Lucy summers, from an amazing show on saturday it's back to the same old shows once again, I just don't understand why? Surely the likes of REDLIGHT must of noticed an influx of calls on Saturday night, when Lucy was strutting her stuff, it's not the same tonight at all, I agree with one of your posts Scottisbloke, that if the babe channels don't deal with Ofcom somehow, and start producing more quality material, then all we'll have is there memories of what we had, i hope that day never comes, but at this moment in time things are not looking very rosy at all.

[split] Tonight I'm lovin'....
Tonight through all the offerings there was not one programme with any cutting edge to it at all. In fact the whole evening so far as been a waste of time. How it can be built as adult TV is just a mystery and should certainly be reported to Ofcom for misrepresentation.
