Nobody's saying Suarez was being affectionate towards Evra. He used a normal phrase used in South America, that isn't offensive.
Evra's heard the first 4 letters of the word used " Negrito" and presumed Suarez has abused him.
It's 100% a culture mix up in my book and the charge should be thrown out.

RE: Football Banter
Let's face it it is down to the officials for not spotting it sooner, so that'll be another referee who will find himself not taking charge of a Premiership game this season. But yes i am surprised how little coverage it was given by the media, but at the same time, i can imagine if it had happened in the Chelsea - Liverpool game it would have got more coverage or maybe in an United game, yet Giggs did the same thing I recall and got away with it.
It is high time that FA read the riot act to officials. there have been far too many mistakes made this season. Anyone agree?

video replays for each time the ball is put into the net like they do in nfl when a touchdown is scored to check for any infringements. it also helps if the officals after each game came out and explain the major decisions.
jt's pr people are working overtime he is wearing an armband saying unite against racism, its like if the pope backed a nspcc campaign.

Next you'll be saying that spain should be let off with the monkey chants cause they dont know its a racial slur towards black players or let that player the other week for spitting at the wolves player just cause he didn't know it was disrespectful
Also your point about the white American and it been racist, correct me if I'm wrong but Suarez isn't black, even though it's a different word used both phrases said by a white man to a black man must be considered racist
Your basing this on things like Wikipedia saying it's an affectionate term, the word 'Negrito' in South America as I understand it is used the same as some single words are in quite a few languages, it translates to a multi word frase. Word: Negrito, Frase: Little black fella or something along these lines.
I'm pretty sure there's a lot of white men/women who have called someone they didn't know (Even if they know their name) "That black guy" , "The black fella" , "The Asian bloke"
The monkey thing, your just being silly.
You didn't say black American calling someone 'nigga' you just said American & I don't think white Americans use this word in the same way street level black men do..... Isn't calling someone black also racist yet it's used by many people everyday, i.e Barack Obama is he first black American President.
groundnpound sums it up well.

This is a pretty fair solution.

I don't think Blackburn cheated, It was just a mistake made worse by the linesman in that end of the pitch being on the opposite side. I think the FA need to bring a fair play rule in that says you can't take this kind of corner or the stop start penalty that players always do as it's not fair on the keeper who can no longer come off his line.
