I'm glad you all hated what that fan said to the Oldham lad, but surely you should have the same reaction to Suarez. He was banned and fined for being racist, irrespective of what your allegiances are etc, that was what he was banned for, yet you seem to not think he commited a racist act! Why?

This reports what Suarez said, and how his defense and evidence was unreliable. Not sure why you'd want to defend him to be honest.

It seems as if that one idiot fan seems to have followed in Suarez's footsteps with the abuse he gave to that Oldham player.

I see no issue with discussing the Suarez or other similar cases. But please note that this isn't the F365 or ESPN comments section. Sweeping accusations of a serious and defamatory nature, which are levelled at an entire fanbase (or any group of people), based on the actions of a single person or minority of people, will not be tolerated on here. Anyone making such sweeping generalisations will have their account closed.

So, please be careful which 'sticks' you use to wind up or discredit fans of other team with or how you use them - using the racist conduct or racially offensive comments of a player or fan of an opposing team, to discredit the entire fan base, is distasteful in the extreme.

You've made the same mistake as Charlemagne, who also thought that Kompany won the tackle. In fact Kompany was only able to win the ball because Nani saw a 2 footed lunge coming his way and sensibly jumped out of the way, therefore leaving the ball uncontested. Even if there had been no red card, it would still have been a free kick to Man Utd, so in no way did Kompany win the ball in the tackle as you and Charlemagne have stated.

kompany's tackle nani was not yellow but not red either it was between the 2, its about time a rugby style sinbin for offences that are between yellow and red cards.

about man city 2nd half, reminds me of chelsea v liverpool 4th round of the cup in 1997. i watching it at a mates house, liverpool were allover chelsea in 1st half, my mate said liverpool have won this and i said there is the 2nd half left. chelsea went onto win 4-2. aint over until either fergie/ref says so.

Ok sin bin, good idea - but how long would a player sit in it for? I'm thinking if a player is sinbinned in 1st half, he misses the rest of the 1st half. If sinbinned in the 2nd half, he canot return to play until the last 15 mins of the game or sinbinned halfway through 2nd half, he cannot play again. if I player is sinbinned three times in whole game then he must be substituted at first opportunity.

Therefore if Nani jumped out of the way it can't have been a foul as Kompany wouldn't have made any contact with him.

Too many have been too quick to comment on a case they've got little knowledge about.
