RE: Petition
First of all ihatesexistofcom I admire your never say die approach and hope that something good comes out of all of this in the end but like I've previously said Ofcom literally cost the government and taxpayer's pennies, but the principle of the matter is we living in a democracy don't like being told what we choose to watch in our leisure time. On the subject of who is really counting the cost's it's the channels themselves, trying to run a business only to be hammered on a regular basis with warnings and fines and the only thing they are guilty of is trying to give us the punters an entertaining show at the end of the day yet Ofcom seem to think that breachs accepted standards, what a croc of shit, this is highly ilegal and should be stamped out, I really hope next year at this time that we are having discussions on the RIP Ofcom Thread and that this qango is finally brought to an end and that our misery is finally over, if Scotland does gain independance that might be enough to rip the organisation up baring in mind that they are run by MP's representatives from Scotland, England, Wales and Nothern Ireland, with independance that could spell the end for Ofcom long before this petition has made the impact which we hoped it would. Nonetheless this petition whether or not it serves the purpose it is still a worthy campaign which we should never give up on.

RE: Petition
I could just imagine the fanboy's reaction hatesexestofcom if Babestation did just the thing but it might have really added to the current figure of 525 signatures, but to be honest I really think this petition has reached it's natural end, it hit 500 on the 6th January and has only picked up the odd vote since. I think it was a great idea at the time unfortunately the results just haven't been good enough, all credit to eccles for going to the great measures but as it stands and will probably stand, I honestly think the most we'll probably get now will be just short of 600 unless we acquire more support, the channels could at least give it a mention. Babestation I doubt will want to promote it all that much as a change in the babe channel rules would have disastrous consequences for Babestation Xtreme as it would deem that project now pointless but the other's really would have nothing to lose as a change is in the majority's interest because right now they are dying on there arses.

RE: Petition
I take my hat off to all the members of this forum who have done their very best to get this petition off the ground. But I have to say that I was one of the doubters in it's success. Getting 100,000 signatures would be an impossible task, to say the least. Would not a better idea be to ride on Wikipedia's shirt tails by launching a nationwide attack on censorship in general. Every single adult in this now browbeaten country of ours as had reason some time to question what on earth is going on with being told what we can and can't do in our so called democracy. We can no longer say what we want, do what we want, watch what we want. The kids can no longer have a game of conkers for gods sake. And the news last week that the money men of the USA want to control parts of the www, well the prospects are frightening. So if a new anti archaic form of censorship petition was launched I am sure that would attracts millions of signatures not just 100,000. The Babechannels would have to share a big umbrella that would cover lot's of content. But at least it would have a say, unlike now.

RE: Petition
500 signatures on a forum of 50,000 people is not a good result..I think you just have to accept that this issue is not
on top of most peoples priority list. yes there are those who are passionate about the subject but if you cant get more
than 1% of a forum devoted to the babeshows to sign your petition, then you can hardly expect to get even close to
that percentage wise if you start factoring in the general tv viewing public and those who dont watch these shows etc.
face it guys..Its a losing battle!
