Great Goals

I was at this game back in 1996 and never have I seen such a dramatic game take place ever since. At the end of season 1994/95 Dundee United were relegated and the following season our one and only season outside of Scotlands top flight we found ourselves in a do or die fixture to determine whether we could once more grace the Premier Division after blowing the League Title decider at Tannadice the week before. I was sitting in the shed end with my Dad at this game and when Thistle were awarded that penalty my heart sunk, I had a clear view right behind the goal and it should never have been given. Ah well justice was done in the end and United's year of first Division football finished in high drama. It may not be the best goals we've ever scored but it was the most important ones in our history.
