Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has urged everyone involved in Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at Old Trafford to play their part in making sure the focus remains firmly on the football and nothing else.

Said the Reds boss: "Everyone involved, including the media, the supporters and both teams have a responsibility to ensure this weekend is remembered as a cracking game of football between two very good sides, rather than for anything else.

"I thought everyone involved in the FA Cup tie at Anfield played their part in making sure that the match was played in the right way, so let's make sure that happens again this weekend.

"I'm sure people will want to talk about Luis Suarez, but he accepted his ban, served his suspension and returned against Spurs on Monday. It's time for all of us to draw a line under what happened and move forward.

"People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony, but from Luis's point of view we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game."

Don't no what to think about the Suarez not shaking hands with EvraSad My opinion is that they should of never let the teams shake hands in the fucking first place like the QPR and Chelseaannoyed

Now all this shit is gonna drag on for months and the only guy is suffering is poor KennySad Not sure if you guys watched the post match interview but Kenny looked pissed and emotional with the reporter who kept asking his views about the hand shake and the tunnel bust-up!!!

Now Kenny is gonna get this in very interview which the club and manager don't needSad as we need to win against Arsenal just to keep touching distance of 4th spot!

RE: Liverpool FC
The way I saw it was Luis walked down the line with his hand out to all players initiating a handshake & it was the Utd players who were raising their hand to take part in it, by the time Luis was inline with Evra, Evra didn't raise his hand till Luis was already moving towards de Gea.

As for the riot what about Evra at the end near the tunnel when he walked past Luis celebrating, if Luis had reacted & everyone got involved at the side of the pitch it only takes one fan to run on & then it's a free for all but good old Fergie doesn't see it like this. Oh & if he thinks Suarez should never play for us again then what about a certain Frenchman who made his Utd 'comeback' against us after the seagulls had followed the trawler.

RE: Liverpool FC
This is the Statement from Liverpool's website.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish today insisted Luis Suarez is right to apologise for failing to shake Patrice Evra's hand at Old Trafford.

"Ian Ayre has made the Club's position absolutely clear and it is right that Luis Suarez has now apologised for what happened at Old Trafford," said Dalglish.

"To be honest, I was shocked to hear that the player had not shaken hands having been told earlier in the week that he would do.

"But as Ian said earlier, all of us have a responsibility to represent this Club in a fit and proper manner and that applies equally to me as Liverpool manager.

"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that."

RE: Liverpool FC
It's good that Liverpool as a club have come out and condemned Suarez and effectively said they regard him as a liar, as they emphasise that Suarez told the club before the match that he would definitely shake Evra's hand. Credit to the club for showing some common sense here. Managing Director Ian Ayre said "it has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable" and that Suarez "was wrong to mislead us".
