Yep! It's confusing, but I trust you appreciate the processing/data overheads slightly differently now! You need to set it up with the highest common denominator between your machine and those of the end-users! Your best output unfortunately doesn't neccessarily create the largest number of satisfied end-users! Heh! Heh!

I would suggest that a test be set up to use the same 9??? Channel being fed into Stream 1 and 2 perhaps between say 10am and Noon for example and then viewing or getting some of the guys on this thread to give some feedback!

May also be useful to have a laptop connected to the net in there and then be able to see the results for yourself directly!

When I test the stream on my laptop, it is through a wireless connection, on to our network, via the web, getting the stream like all you guys... but I can also go to a preview monitor as well.

I will play around with the streaming settings, had planned to, but need to make a few other adjustments before hand... independant of the streaming settings and more to do with integration of all the computers and preview monitors and such.. while I kind of run that show, its not my place to start pulling other cables out so have to wait for the right people to be available

(Point im getting at there is more to it than just streaming settings on the two machines, like certain software runnin and interfaces that I need to get rid of before I can run a fair test, which is what Im waiting to do)

Well, do have other roles as well as working on the web and stream, like assisting with phones and general IT... and dressing up as a milkman and running around after the girls with a cliché backing track. Should actually be getting off to the land of nod myself too.

bblackey can i have your job? you can keep doin the IT stuff, but i get 2 chase the girls around and get all the pay at the end of the week. i tink that sounds like a fair deal

Perhaps BBLackey is testing 2 different configs as mentioned in post #31 above - though I can't confirm this! Could I suggest that if the streams are from the same channel that if anyone notices any differences in the quality of the outputs, that they cap and post their comments in this thread for BB to pick up!
