I too thought about the Madden curse,i wonder what Larry Fitzgerald is thinking right now?
Big Ben took some hits last night especially that clean shot from Jevon Kearse, but he just shrugs it off and gets on with it,he's gotta be the toughest QB in the league.

It was good to see Eurosport2 showing Big10 college football tonight with Syracuse at Penn State, but they really should have taken the american commentary as well! Mike Carlson's a nice guy and good for adding colour and background info but as a play by play commentator- ooh noo!

A raider fan meself, dont know about being optimistic, well strugle to wingames and id be surprised if we win more than 4 or 5 games
saying that the first game against the charger on monday might be a close one
we still havnt got much of an offensive line

Hello fellow Raider fan,i think the O-Line has improved since they went to a zone blocking scheme, one benefit this year the release off-season of LT Kwame Harris should straight away reduce the number of false starts by 50%,so i figure that new starting LT Mario Henderson has gotta be an upgrade. The worry for me is at center, losing Jake Grove to free agency was a big loss and despite trading for Samson Satele, the starter will be Chris Morris who was last years 3rd string center, but you couldn't ask for a better test of your O-Line than facing Shawn Merriman on monday night!

Hoping for a much more competetive game between the Redskins and Giants, than the Browns/Vikings game. The Browns looked a bit anemic on offence and The Vikes with Adrian Peterson rushing for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns never really looked in any danger,Brett Favre had a comfortable game, got hit a couple of times, but managed the game well.

Well so far we have been terrible. So glad we have Hunter the Punter or we'd have been facing a shutout Sad

What an anti-climax, the skins offence just didn't turn up.Thought the defence did ok considering the amount of time they were on the field, but no running game and Jason Campbell just doesn't inspire any confidence as an NFL Quarterback. Still it was always going to be a tough ask at the Giants and witha couple of more winnable games coming up hopefully we can get the season up and running next week.Looking forward to Saints@ Eagles next week should be quite a shootout.

RE: NFL 2009/10
I thought the best game on t.v. yesterday was the Bears v the Packers, with both defences on the rampage, quality offence wasn't avaliable to the neutral fan but it was sure as hell competitive! I'm not sure if this down to two top notch defences or two poor offensive lines.
Jay Cutler apart from one quality TD pass to Devin Hester, seemed to be doing an impression of Jake Delhomme with four interceptions and some high risk throws into double coverage.Aaron Rodgers spent most of the game running for his life from a marauding Bears pass rush, but won the game with a beauty of a pass to Greg Jennings with just over a minute left.
Weirdest moment of the night was when the the Bears went for a fake punt in the fourth quarter on their own 30 yard line,i'm still scratching my head on that one,it just made no sense whatsoever in a one-score game, and gave possession to the Packers in a great position.
Is it just me? but i can't stand the presenter on Five,he sounded like a tinpot local dj! the second time he said " alrighty then " i was contemplating issuing a fatwa.
