LOTR, The Vengeance Trilogy, and I was going to say Bourne too but...

The Godfather trilogy would have been in the mix if the third film wasn't so poor...

RE: favourite film Trilogy's
If and when the 3rd one gets made Bad Boys is definetly up there, love those films.
Suppose if Transformers keeps going the way its going that will be another trilogy favourite of mine.

Not many trilogys come to mind though as theres been an extra 1 or 2 to spoil the franchise like Aliens and The Karate Kid lol

Forget about Beverly Hills Cop 3 and with the new one coming that could be a great trilogy.

Same goes for Fast & The Furious, remove the 2nd one and add the new one coming and thats another great trilogy.

Anyway Godfather is the only one i can think off lol

I feel the same about that, I and II are some of the best pieces of cinematography your eyes will see, but the last one was pretty terrible, as for my favourite trilogy, idk, probably The Matrix or The LOTR's.

RE: favourite film Trilogy's
The original holy trilogy, the Star Wars trilogy with Lord of the Rings second probably. And I would be inclined to say the Blade trilogy because the first film is my favourite (action) film ever, but the third one was so poor and don't even mention the TV series. Pirates of the Caribbean may just make it up there. There are too many great trilogies that are now quadrilogies because people wanted more cash. E.g. Indiana Jones, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Alien and now the Bourne films. And there are many trilogies that were just crapped upon by the 3rd film like Blade, X-Men, Spider-man.

There aren't actually a great number of trilogies, I am looking at my DVD collection now, which is more than 500 in size, and the only trilogies up there, that are still trilogies, are Urban Legends, Resident Evil, Rush Hour, Mad Max and Beverly Hills Cop (kinda), not that many trilogies of great merit tbh. And I HATE the Godfather trilogy so much.

mas just you mentioning Leathal Weapon, see if you remove the 3rd one then thats a great trilogy and the 4th Leathal Weapon was pretty good with Jet li...3rd on was boring.

I think its fair to say Die Hard is the rare one that all 4 were brilliant.

I did forget about Blade though and thats definetly on the list
