RE: Members that Don't post etc
There is another thing and that is that if every member posted here this forum would become huge and pretty unwieldy.I was on digital spy which has hundreds of thousands of members. The result being it is actually quite difficult to find the threads and posts that interest you.In the end I stopped bothering. Also bear in mind the posting style of some members here(only 3 or 4 different post types using similar words, phrases repeated ad nauseum with not a lot new to say but done over hundreds of posts)then multiply that by a few hundred??No thanks.

Surely though,if they have no intention of posting, its pointless thanking too? Maybe they just want to remain secret and neutral, plus, not everybody has the time, or the equipment. I never post anything to build up my cache on here, i do it to store the stuff in one place, and feel like im giving something back for things ive found. Rare things, hard to find things, not stuff we can all see everyday,or may do again.

Well either way on thanks/reps:downloads ratio off rapidshare I should be in the thousands by now.But I know that some members will come on here purely to see what is available vid/picwise

True. Imagine 10,000 clones of G@z posting on here. The forums server would explode.

Tintin makes an interesting point that i think is burried within his original post, and that is,sometimes we make posts, upload stuff, expecting a deluge of thanks and reps, confident that all will be so grateful, esp if nobody else seems to have done so first or as efficiently! (This happened to me yesterday when i capped Laura J after what i felt was an amazing return to the pad proper. I had only 3 thanks, still, yet i thought she would be a firm favourite, esp for bunna!? and whats more, couldnt belive i was the only one who did so. I was gonna upload the vid,as she rarely stands up these days(not like early pad days!) but guessed i must be one of the few fans?) Now if there are thousands who like her, and other posts ignored, then obvioulsly many 'silent' members are just not thanking. There are some ridiculously unrelated parts of this forum,i mean, non babechannel stuff. These members could well be on these bits only? That is another topic, but to sum up, i dont think anyone should be removed for not posting or thanking. And if theyre not causing any trouble, upsetting or annoying, why would it bother anyone? Huh

Surely the ultimate point is this is a forum - a place people can choose to 'hang out' in and post/thank/do nothing if they so wish. It's the nature of the beast. Indeed, a large percentage of the 20,000+ members we have registered here aren't active at all on here - often not having been here in months or perhaps not even returning at all. But that could simply be a case of 'so far'.....

The point is, this is a 'down time' sort of place - there is no commitment to the forum. You don't have to pass a test to gain entry. You don't have to meet relevant criteria. This is not some regime. You are free to come and go as you choose Smile

Plenty of people may not have posted yet - that could simply be because they haven't had anything to say. I would much rather a quiet member who looks and says nothing, than one who posts incessantly merely for the sake of posting, regardless of having nothing to say.

Likewise, this is a 'world away from the world'. Real life goes on outside of here. Plenty of the 'inactive' members may well have a lot of stuff going on in their lives that prohibit them from coming on here/being active etc.

By and large though, those that do contribute to the forum make this an interesting place to be. Perhaps by focusing on those of us that do post we will continue to make it a fun, lively interesting place - and that may well coax some of the silent members to dip their toe in and participate Smile

I think Tintin's got the wrong end of the stick here.........I've been a member for months, but rarely post anything and to date haven't bothered to thank anybody (Ooops, my bad) I'm generally just interested in what other people have written. This doesn't make me a troll or a leech, if i want to download porn or naked pics of women, there's christ knows how many places i can get them from without waiting for the next "juicy morsel" uploaded here.

It's an open forum (emphasis on the word "open") and i'll bet that there are hundreds of "members" here who behave in exactly the same way as myself. The guys that do bother to upload stuff most of us are grateful for, but it's not the main reason for my being on here to look around from time to time.

RE: Members that Don't post etc
I suppose the reality is that if you're a vid/cap poster you're more aware of the time and effort that goes into creating such things and posting them on a forum such than those who either can't or won't. Perhaps sometimes it seems like that effort goes largely unnoticed and it causes those people who do post such things to question why they bother if others can't even take the time to, at the very least, click the 'Thank' button.

After all, we could do it while we're waiting for the videos to download...

I'm too busy trying to work out what actually qualifies as 'my last Rolo' to find anybody that I might concievably love enough to give the damn thing to...
