Fallout Eps 1 to 8.

Bloody good TV. A rare thing these days!

Only 3 things in life are certain. Death, Taxes and lesbians will never look how they do in porn movies.

Exhibition on Screen: Mary Cassatt - Painting The Modern Woman
Lived to her 80s, given the rub by Edgar Degas, and no slouch with a brush.

2/3 A couple of waterfalls, an irrelevant side-trip to Anglesey, then a big assault on Mount Snowdon, and some talkie-feelie stuff in a special camp.

3/3 For the first time on this show, they fail to reach their destination because the boat trip to Anglesey is too risky and they can't hang about waiting until it is. Helpfully they have a big cathartic experience on the penultimate day, so that's alright then.

Another enjoyable show, if seeming less arduous than some years. Maybe they'll go somewhere (even) more glamorous in 2025?

On Show: The Art of Tommy Cooper
Rhod Gilbert narrated this 2007 profile in which the likes of Barry Cryer, Victor Spinetti and Tom O'Connor helped pad out the story of the mercurial Welsh legend.

Though really he spends more time in Windsor (no Brown Windsor soup, though, what a clot). But I can't really blame him for favouring fudge instead.

6 - Glamorgan
A vague choice (I doubt Glamorgan sausage is "known the world over" somehow), and his hyperbolic reaction to most foods as the most amazing things he's ever tasted and that the memories will stay with him forever, begin to seem a tad false.

Next Saturday will mark the 4th anniversary of this event; this documentary was told by fire crew and other officials relevant to the battle to prevent further disaster as an inferno threatened not just one of Paris' oldest buildings, but the sacred treasures stored in a safe inside. As well as the verbal accounts was a wealth of video footage, from phones and elsewhere.
Rebuilding Notre-Dame: The Next Chapter
Lucy Worsley inevitably took a gander round the place last year to learn about the efforts to re-source all-new timber for the roof, solve a salty problem with the stonework, and wonder at the efforts to suck out all the toxic lead dust. Macron wants the job finished for reopening by the Paris Olympics next year. Bonne chance, mes amis!
Rebuilding Notre-Dame: Inside the Great Cathedral Rescue
A repeat from 2020, as the early stages of the crisis were looked at (yesterday also being the 5th anniversary of the fire, as well as several other big anniversaries). The prospects of meeting Macron's 5 year deadline seemed remote, given the enormous number of issues, and inevitably slow progress.
