Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Demo/Full GԚ

Thought i would call the thread a demo and full game as i thought it would be easy to talk about both games on the same thread instead of have creating two. I haven't played the first yet but i did hear it got some good marks and hoping to get this game very soon as well as the second game too. I like the fact it adds something a little different to table being able to blow hole through walls and stuff something that call of duty never did. Whether the second one will be better then call of duty only time will tell plus call of duty is hard game to better. From what seen of the demo there's different classes ranging from assault class, engineer class, Medic class, Recon class, each class plays there own parts in helping each of other classes out like the medic being able to being players back to life or top up health. Each classes have there strength's and weakness. Having played the demo of the second one which can only be played online its shaping up to be a very good game. At first glance you think the game plays the same modern warefare taking into account the same controls, but you couldn't be so different the tactics used in modern warefare are very different so your having learn to play differently to how you play modern warefare. First impressions of the game for me are very good and its shaping up to very good, hopefully this game will be able to hold its own with modern warefare. I think both of these games in there own right have a lot to offer. So try the demo and may just like it, will be keeping a eye for the review of this game and if its any good may just buy it .

played the beta. baught the game. pisses on cod4, murders w@w and buggers mw2.
basicaly this is the game to replace cod4 and it does it with style. being squad/team based its more in tune with twl and edom matches, no 1 man killing sprees or run and gun hero's. if you dont play the team game you get had. the best thing is that a 4 man squad can be a royal pain in the ass for the 16 guys on the other side.
dice reports that there are more people playing this on pc than the entire console comunity? (both xbox and ps3 combined) it just goes to show that pc gaming is far from dead, and having the rite games can prove it.

Didn't play the demo - but i've seen alot of videos and gameplays and such.. and it looks like a really great game, and right up my street as im into first person shooters. Lots of aspects of the game are similar to the Call Of Duty series - but at the same it appears to have alot of unique things that sets it apart from other games of a similar nature. As a big Call Of Duty fan and an overall fan of online first person shooters i should really like the game, just need to get some money first lol.

Probably more on the PC than the consoles combined because the consoles have just had a shitload of great games released, like Heavy Rain, the DLC for Assassin's Creed 2, the DLC for Resi 5, the fact that FFXIII is being released tomorrow (I know that has stopped me buying new games for a couple of weeks because I won't be able to devote any time to them when FFXIII is out), and because the PC schedule is pretty bare this game will sell more. It could also be that Dice have provided dedicated servers so PC gamers automatically love them after feeling let down by Infinity Ward and will automatically have a better view of the game. I personally thought the game was shit from the demo I played, it just lacks the fun that games like MW/MW2 and Rainbow Six Vegas (old but still my favourite MP FPS) have, it was just boring, so I may also put it down to the fact console players seem to expect more from games and like me were just underwhelmed by the demo.

nah! theres plenty of titles out this month on pc 2. assasins creed 2, dow2 chaos rising. c'nc'4, and about 20 others some more notable (dlc for dragon age) than others. nah theres enough titles on pc as there are for the consoles, just we dont harp on about exclusive titles as much.
bfbc 2 has been adoped more on pc for 1 of the reasons you say though. the dedicated server. but realy mw2 and w@w were big let downs in gameplay, there both rife with idiots hacking and is the main reason i chose not to bother with em. and honesly it wasnt so much the non dedicated server that bugged me. it was actavisions attitude to pc gamers. stating we deserved the game we got, when in actual fact they were cost cutting. they didnt need to port the game from the console as the game is created on pc then ported over, but it was cheaper to work on the port then port it back (dont ask me how but it is)...

I know that with modern warefare 2, the top selling version was the 360 version, followed by the PS3, then PC:

Been reading that EA are working on the reboot of medal of honor, EA Los Angeles will be working on the main game and DICE who worked on Battlefield 2 will be working on the multi player part of the game. The main game will be using a heavily-modified version of Unreal Engine 3 and its multiplayer will use the Frostbite engine. Seen the trailer for it and its shaping up to being a good game, whether it will be the call of duty games is another story.

i prefer Modern Warefare 2 for single player, but BC2 is good for multiplayer, hard at first, but once you get used to it, wicked. no way i'm playing it on a PC, would require at least a £200 refit, sod that when i have my xbox running it 1080p on my 42inch flat screen!

I only have Modarn Warefare 2 and the previous call of duty games, i will get battlefield 1 and 2 when i have the time. I can only them on a PS3 on my 1080p HDTV, I have a Intel Mac so i can only play games like that on console anyway.

i have had all COD since COD3, had battlefield 2 back in the day, but not played a battlefield game until now. prefer using console for games and leaving the PC to do the rest as end up having to fork out far too much money on upgrading a PC every year or so just to play new games on top spec on a monitor thats smaller than my telly when i can sit in my living room with my big TV and know that my xbox will run the games looking shit hot no matter what and have no bugs, problems, whatnot or worry about a game not running full screen.
