Yeah I love Shameless too. The Fifth series was the best.

The new series starts January 10th, 10pm Channel 4.

Excellent programme, preferred the earlier series though.
I see US are doing a version as well. Will be interesting to see what they do with it

I've always thought that the Chatsworth Estate is a far more realistic and true to life place than anywhere else on TV, perhaps because the Working class and Benefit class are hardly represented on other programmes, except on Jeremy Kyle and Crimewatch.
Certainly the swearing, drug/alcohol abuse and general criminality depicted on Shameless are far more common than TV Land would like to make out.

A good episode of Shameless beats anything else on the box to a pulp, and possibly sets fire to it afterward.

Oh good I'm glad they've made more episodes this year there was a rumor last year that they might of changed it back down to 8 episodes because of budget problems.

5 episodes, one per night next week ... Excellent

After tomorrow night's channel 4 episode (probably shown last Tuesday on E4), Shameless willl be off air until sometime in the Autumn. Then the rest of the series will be shown.

God knows why.
