I'm just saying there are other players who deserve a chance instead of the likes of Carragher, Heskey and King. They have all either not had great seasons or have not been playing regularly. Capello said clearly that he would only select players who have been playing regularly for their clubs. Carragher shouldnt play again after his comments about England in the past, Heskey shouldnt go because he has a woeful goalscoring record, and King is injury prone.

He could have selected Ashley Young who has had a great season, and Jagielka has played regularly all season and been fantastic for Everton. Jagielka's also useful because he can play either midfield or defence and it gives us more options.

I'm saying that Capello hasn't kept his promises about selections. I don't think we can win whatever team goes, but some of his selections don't tally in with what he said.

fair enough, I didn't know Zamora was injured.

There`s that many international managers in this thread, i think this one is gonna run & run... Well at least till the quarter finals.

Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips
Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.

Bent, Johnson, Parker and Baines should have all been in the squad,
Instead of Heskey, Carrick, Warnock and Lennon.

Bent is hardly a replacement for Heskey. Bent could only have gone as a replacement for Defoe.

There's been talk about Leighton Baines making some comments about his "homesickness"... This is very strange for an international player who should be relishing travelling the world in a World Cup. Maybe thats whats tipped the scales towards Warnock instead. What did everybody else make of these bizarre comments?

Bent and Walcott should both have been there. We should have taken 5 forwards. Emile Heskey I don't like, and I've said it already, but how can Bent's premier league goals record be ignored? I'm never going to like Heskey, even if he scores the goals which win us the final. No danger of that though...

Apart from those, there's no major surprises for me. The rest of the squad is pretty much how I expected it to turn out.

Well for me am pleased Theo Walcott been left out. As it was pretty obvious Fabio was gonna play him on right side when he cant play in that position at all clueless.

Like i have said b4 if he was to play Theo up front then he should of been on the plane.

Would of loved to of seen Adam Johnson giving a chance as he is such a good player.

Now all i hope is Fabio lets Stevie G play in his best position just behind Rooney and let them torture the other teams with there great understanding of one another
