Daniel Bryan released - Legit or Work

WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors

Hmm Now this is a confusing one is this actually legit that he has actually been released or is this a Work by the WWE guess only time will tell.

my opinion is this is legit going by some stuff i just read.

it seems someone with power in wwe complained about bryan choking justin roberts (ring announcer) with his own tie as it would encourage kids to do the same to each other.

so danielson is being used as a scapegoat, though he will be back when it all dies down.

Word is, it's not even someone in WWE. It's someone who isn't even involved with WWE, most likely Mattel. Which makes this even more bullshit. When you've got people who are not even in the company calling the shots, WWE has a problem.

It looks like Danielson is looking to take indy bookings for now.

I don't think he will be in TNA after 90 days if he wants to get back into WWE.

ROH has just got into some kind of groove without him and Nigel McGuinness, so as cool as it would be for ROH to have him back, it would overshadow everything else they're doing. A step backwards.

If I were him, I'd disappear to Japan for a few months to keep busy, and see if WWE comes knocking again once this all blows over.

The NXT angle is fucked though.

As Daniel Bryan was arguably the most popular NXT Rookie and more importantly he drew all the heat and attention with that feud with Micheal Cole, honestly without him NXT is worthless he was the one who made the show funny and watchable with his great charisma.

Well WWE ruins yet another good pontential storyline, what else is new?

Given by how they have been burying him in matches I would say it is legit and frankly Bryan is probably not displeased at being let go as now he can go back to a company that allows him to showcase his skills.

He isn't a Rookie in wrestling terms he has wrestled for many years for ROH under Bryan Danielson.

Danielson's updated his Twitter saying he is now available for indy shows, and he's already booked for 2 next month.

He will be appearing for EVOLVE on the 23rd of July in New Jersey and Dragon Gate USA at the ECW Arena on the 24th. Both, funnily enough, booked by ex-ROH guy Gabe Sapolsky, and Evolve was actually an idea of Danielson's (a more "realistic" approach to wins/Losses, with official records and everything), who was set to be the focal point of the group before WWE signed him.
