RE: Is Porn Prostitution?
Loulo 12 have you actually read and taken in anything I've said, or do you just like to copy and paste phrases (which anyone can do)..?

The key difference in the two is clear - enjoyment. You have either not understood or not read what I've said. Its annoying and irritating to have to repeat the messages, so I won't attempt to. Just re-read the post and you should be able to understand what I'm saying.

I've made myself absolutely clear, I'm not going to say any more, and as Shady Cee pointed out in his post, as you are new here, perhaps you have much to learn about when to post, and how to post replies.

We're not having a go at you, we're just trying to help you to understand a few facts of forum life. Sad

Well, you have made one post on this thred and I have read it.

What the roll eyes where for was the assumption that these porn actors are enjoying it all the time (or that is how it came across). You make no differentiation. It may be true for the men for the most part, but for the women, it's just a job. Like most jobs it depends on the the day.

I had a few pms from a person who does porn on this site and she controls her own site and 'pays the stud whatever he charges'. In this case she can do as she pleases and hire only who she wants and therefore enjoys her job, it's her career she has chosen and is perfectly happy with it. But she also said a lot sign contracts, in which case they have absolutely no control on what or who they fuck. this can be an handsome stud they really like or somebody they wouldn't touch with a barge pole if they saw them in a night club. They can't be enjoying it all the time. As my example of Linda Lovelace and Tracy Lords earlier shows.

I think you see all the false, 'oooo, yar, fuck me baby, touch me there, that's right' and think it is genuine enjoyment. It's all an act dude.

I wasn't meaning to be offensive to you but people seem to have a rose tinted view of porn.

I fail to see what being new to the forum has to do with opinions. What do you want me to do just agree with you because you say so? I took shadys points on board about the legality of porn, fine, but apparently prostitution is ALSO legal. What people are failing to understand is the exchange of sex for money is itself prostitution whether it's done in porn or traditional prostitution.

What you have, is a situation where porn is legal and not classed as prostitution as such ut nevertheless, the actors involved are exchanging sex for money - the very diffinition of prostitution.

Odd world eh?

RE: Is Porn Prostitution?
I agree with loulo12 that Regenerated’s original post came across as a gross generalization (though it may not have been intended), and insinuated that the vast majority of porn stars love their job and the vast majority of prostitutes hate their job. I do not believe this to be the case at all. However, this is completely irrelevant, as whether or not a person enjoys his or her job, makes no difference to what the job entails (though it may make a difference to the performance). For example: A postman is still a postman whether he loves or hates his job.

However, copying and pasting links or phrases is not the best way to get your message across, whatever your opinion.

This is an interesting situation, which I had not taken into consideration.
In this case I would not consider the act to be one of prostitution, on her part, as she is not receiving money directly to have sex with someone. But rather having sex and then making money from the films. A subtle change, but one that, to me at least makes all the difference. In this case she has taken on the roll of the punter, with the stud engaging in the act of prostitution.

Look, the people you are after are the people you depend on. We cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances. We guard you while you sleep. Do not... fuck with us.

May I say here, that the person I had this brief discussion with, does the hiring of her stud/s (I hate him/them) So she cannot be described as a prostitute. It's the person, male or female, receiving the money. And then it's just a technical thing.

Hopefully that has prevented my getting shouted at.

[split] Escorting

I have gotten a lot of grief from other porn stars because I have spoken out about it.
So the answer to that question is a flat out "NO, I will NOT be escorting.

I can never understand why so many pornstars are so touchy about escorting. After all, when you strip away all the bullshit the only difference is the presence of a video camera.

For starters, porn girls are for the most part working with people they know and trust, or at the very least, people with known reputations. Even if the reputation is slightly dodgy, fore-warned is fore-armed.

Unless it's a regular client, an escort is dealing with a perfect stranger and has no idea what sort of person will be on the other side of the door when she opens it.

Porn is done in a room full of people and is a more technical process than you might imagine.

In porn all parties are being paid to work together to produce a saleable end product. An escort is being paid to give sexual pleasure - a totally different and much more personal situation.

Just because a girl is willing to act in porn doesn't mean she's willing to have sex with any Tom Dick or Harry who waves cash at her.

Edit: That last sentence could appear to denigrate escorts. That wasn't my intention.

RE: Escorting
I agree that porn and escorting can be quite different especially the high end stuff but let's not kid ourselves the reason they overlap is because the skill set is so similar. The fact that you can enjoy or pretend to be enjoying fucking some random dude you first meet minutes before shagging him no matter what he looks like is pretty much a requirement for both professions, if you can also do it on camera porn may be for you. In recent years it seems it's escorts that are becoming pornstars to make more money, if I remember correctly Carmella Bing and a few others started out like that.

Eitherway none of these chicks should be ashamed of their careers.

Totally agree that there is nothing wrong with either profession (as long as all parties are safe). And yes, there are some technical differences. But lets not kid ourselves, whether you consider yourself a porn star or an escort, you are getting paid for sex.

Paying for sex is when one person directly pays another for sexual favours. This is what happens between an escort and her client. (Edit: For completeness I should add that payment is sometimes made by a third party by way of a gift.)

Except in a few specific scenarios, porn stars aren't paid for sex by the people they have sex with (and even in those exceptions the primary purpose isn't pleasuring the payer). They are paid by the production company to perform sexual acts with each other. Totally different concept.

Sex and payment both take place in two otherwise totally dissimilar professions. That's as close to a similarity as you'll get.

So, far from there being only one difference, there's actually only one (fairly tenuous) similarity.
