Some forum stats

A couple of weeks ago I had the impression that the number of posts being made each day was going down.
Admin only had a rolling 24 hour total, so I decided to monitor it for myself for 2 weeks.
I noted the details at 10.00am each day.
On 16 August we had 11,436 threads and 36,185 members.
This morning it was 11,557 threads and 37,172 members.

These are very interesting stats (well, I think they are anyway )
Of the 681 posts from 10:00 yesterday to 10:00 today, 114 are from the Becky/Rachel Night Show Chat and Discussion thread, and another 20 from their Caps and Vids thread. That's collectively almost 20% of the overall total, which seems to be pretty good going for one event, and serves to show once more how successful the show was.
Regarding your overall theory about posts dropping, is that not simply due to it being the holiday season?

I made a post in that thread myself today, included in those 114.
It might be the holidays, but the number of members increased by nearly 1000 in the 2 weeks which should mean more posts.

the post level except 2 high posting days seems to be levelling out

A fact of life about forums:

Most members are leeches. They come for the content (caps, vids, pics, etc.), but never post...not even to say 'thank you'. If you are going to be a contributor at any forum, then you just have to accept this.

And now with Kitty Lea's, and Alice Goodwin's Nightshow Caps only being available to members who apply for access, there are going to be even more people signing up for memberships, just to get there hands on them.
