RE: Is it time for a mass attack on OFCOM?
Because of the level of responsibilty and major issues for Cameron and Clegg to sort out I'd imagine they are totally unaware of anything that is going on with Ofcom at the moment taking into consideration they cost the government mere pennies and us tax payer's more or less buggerall too, I'm more than sure if this Country was to end up like Greece then Ofcom probably would be axed alongside other needless quango's, it would be great to think that Cameron and Clegg are on this forum reading through our posts on the babe shows but I doubt either one of them has the time to either watch the show's let alone come on this forum. I've come to realise that my dream of seeing an end to Ofcom is probably just fantasy now, all I can hope for is that future Ofcom committee's grant them more leeway, also Ofcom are supposed to be speeding up broadband in the next few years as it's still far too slow, I mean FFS it's taking ages for these porn videos's to download Big Laugh

As previously discussed the male penis and testicles seem to be the flavour of the month, in other words its A OK according to Ofcom to have the male sex organ on show, and yet a woman's Vagina is totally outlawed by OfcomImportant
To me this Screams of SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION by Ofcom, and for that reason i feel that Ofcom could and should be brought to task in this matterImportant The fact still remains that SKY still offer parents the right to block these channels which can be done extremely easily. Now apart from the obvious differences between a man and woman's sexual anatomy, why Ofcom feel a man penis is not classed as offensive yet a woman's Vagina is baffles meImportant
I think the only way i can see to tackle Ofcom is to try and go down the sexual discrimination route, now i might be way of base here, and I'm sure other more experienced posters on this matter might put me right here, however I'm all for getting this overpaid Dictatorship out of our TV industry once and for all.

i was changing thru the channels 1 day mate just after half 8 at night and was confronted by a close up of some guys with no clothes on a close up of his nob ? & that was on CHANNEL4 ???? eek IT SENT ME A BIT GREEN REALLY probably after smokin sum but another point you make about ofcom being a labour thing,i always thought labour was a more working mans government ? and i know most labourers love seeing fit birds whether it be in the sunday sport on the way to work or these hot babes shows....ect
i never remember the shows being like this when they was in power ?
2005-2008 was a really good time for the shows as far as im aware coz i saw most of em and loved every miniute of them......im not mentioning names but most of them are in my bio anyway Rolleyes
if you know waht i mean and seen the babes ive liked and saw any of the shows they did for us and can remember
it was just all ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC Big Laugh
so a big thanks to everyone of you Wink and sorry if i missed any out which i know i have but you should get the gist of what im saying
ofcom is alot stricter with this conservative government coz thier all upper class snooty snobs that have never lived in the real world and bin fed everything on a plate to them with a silver spoon
not to mention shacking up in them private schools for boys laugh
half of them are all as bent as a two bob note lol Surprised [headshake]
the labour government new how to keep the working class happy unlike this sick twisted government we all have today ?
they expect all work for next to no pay - not even any foreplay ????????????

Thanks 4 All The Good Times *!*

It does still not answer the question that ofcom are sexist...Channel 4 and 5 said to me they wont show female genatalia because it breaks ofcoms code...So i am still not resting,EVER,of com allow penises on uk tv but ban vaginas unless medical..Fucking sexist.

RE: Is it time for a mass attack on OFCOM?
Well Tigerpete although in your point between the Conservatives and the Labour holds some water in theory it's probably a bit different now. Now the Old Labour Party used to stand up for the working class but ever since it become New Labour in 1997 in which posh boy Tony Blair who went to Eton private school came to power it all changed. It was New Labour and not the Tories who formed Ofcom. Also I agree with you that the shows in 2005 and 2006 were far stronger from what I recall, however 2007 and 2008 was a very grim period indeed for the babe channels with censorship levels being upped to a new level such as Babestar TV for example at the start of 2007 having their licence revoked and the introduction of the much hated granny pants and 2 pairs of knickers must be worn period for a very long time which all occured during Labours period in power. My theory is Ofcom are given the green light to moderate the channels any way they see fit irrespective of which political party is in power and as I've pointed out it's very unlikely that Cameron and Clegg are up in the small hours of the morning discussing the regulating of this qango as they are blissfully unaware of the corruption and unjust taking place as it's not high up in their priority list when they have a Country to run, Cameron and Clegg couldn't give a fuck what is shown on the telly in reality as that's what they pay other's to look after, the only thing that matters these days is Ofcom opinion and only their opinion which we all need to change. The days when there was a fundamental difference between the 2 parties is long gone as they are both run now from the posh boy private school brigade, if it was still Labour that was in power the babe show's would still be going through exactly the same level of censorship as they are at the moment. Ofcom are as much a problem now as they were in years gone by, Ofcom have now been regulating the TV since 2003 and appear here to stay unless events take a dramatic twist Cool

The problem is that if Ofcom even hinted at relaxing the rules on tv nudity then the Mumsnet and the "won't someone thing of the children" brigade would be up in arms threatening protests and campaigns and have politicians quaking in their boots. No politician or person of influence will support the idea of more nudity on tv and without that kind of support the idea is dead in the water.

Aye well if Ofcom were to relax the rules let the protestors have their little tantrum and simply ignore them, I say fuck them and especially mumsnet, if you don't like like the babe channels, don't watch them, if it offends you, then fine, be offended as they should just mind their own fucking business and be a parent for a change instead of a fucking moral shit stirring gobshite that is the very reason we have ofcunt in the first place annoyed

I know people who use Mumsnet and while there are some antiporn members in general theres very little appitite for banning porn and even some discussion about best porn sites, watching together and letting "OH release his tension". What gets their blood boiling is spending money on porn sites when short of cash for the family and being into porn but not into the wife. (OH seems to mean Other Half).

Do you seriously believe that if the things that members of this forum wish to see on TV (which is treated differently than online porn) are allowed by Ofcom that there will be no backlash from the self appointed moral guardians of society. These are the same people who are trying to get certain music videos played after the watershed.

It is an interesting question about their attitudes on Mumsnet and such and Eccles said a few things about it before. Possibly it wouldn't register on their radar, or if it did they wouldn't be sensitive to the timing of any changes. If people would disapprove then they probably would disapprove of the content we already have.
