The Dark Knight Rises

Batman would have been rebooted whether there was gonna be JLA film or not as this was Nolan's and Bale's last film together. When they do the JLA film they first of all need to use the same actors as its gonna be totally confusing using different actors in there own films and then using another set in the team up movie i.e JLA. Secondly they have to say true to comic source for example with Batman and Superman there have been plenty of big stories that have happened whether its been Batman Hush or the Death Of Superman, fair enough changes will be made for it fit the big screen but as long as they stay true to comic book source it will be as the minute you disrespect the comic source i.e Batman and Robin then your fucked. Thats why i like how Nolan took bit's from the various different Batman graphic novels and then still added his own vision on it, you could watch all three films and see where he took elements from the graphic novels and as a Batman fan like it and even if you never read them because they strong and important stories in the Batman universe they made for good story telling because they were rich and well written in the first place. I liked how he wasn't over the top with CGI and used practical effects as much as possible which is what gave the Batman films a sense of realism. Also as long they make the film's more realistic and ain't afraid to throw a little fantasy here and there it will be good. With Superman of Steel so far its a step in the right direction with the origin being redone and actually seeing the civil war on krypton its shaping up quite nicely only time will tell as how the film turns out.

I'm watching the old 60's Batman series with my little nephews & it's ridiculous to see how serious the franchise has become. Having said that, I'm sure the new film will be ace.

no its not ridiculous to see how serious the batman franchise has become. Batman in batman begins and the dark night is how batman should be in the films and not how he is portrayed in the 60's tv series and batman forever and batman and robin

im a excited little kid today as seeing dark knight rises this afternoon and already cant wait!!!!!

there is nothing wrong with it being serious. it should be serious. but not pretentious and boring. and chris nolan can't choreograph or shoot a fight scene to save his life. i see better choreography on old power ranger episodes. i mean why do countless guys armed with SMGs just stand there waiting for batman to knock them out?

overall i thought this film was pretty shit to be honest. the acting from pretty much everybody, apart from cotillard with perhaps the worst death scene ever, is excellent. but the action scenes are shit. the story is ridiculously muddled (i don't understand why the nuke had to be some clean energy reactor thingy to start off with) and overall i was just bored to tears apart from when catwoman and bane were on screen.
