We need a striker. Peter Odemwingie has been great, but hes out of form at the moment, and we need another who can step it up.

Robbie Keane on loan would be great, as would John Carew, but both a bit beyond our means.

Look out for some crap foreigner nobody has ever heard of to WBA.

liverpool have increased the offer to £35m, no news on chelsea and torres (not sergio). harry redknapp has put bids in for aguero and forlan.

Couldn't agree more! Andy Carroll has had an outstanding first half of the season - a season where he's new to Premiership defenders and managers alike and where some have not yet worked him out - but to put him into the £30million category is just ridiculous.

Carroll sure is a handfull - I kept an eye on him on his Premiership debut when he gave Vidic a torrid time, but at the end of the day he's a battering ram old-fashioned English centre-forward who'll slow down his own team in an age where pace is everything.

But hey, Newcastle will rightly think that if Darren Bent is worth £24million...
