Surprise, the best channel on Freeview gets replaced by a bunch of Gameshow crap.

Channel One/Virgin 1 have shown loads of great programmes since they began;
All the Star Trek spin offs. X-files. V. Supernatural. Ghost Whisperer . Warehouse 13. Leverage. Probably some others I've forgotten about.

My Nana used to have Challenge on all the time 10 years ago, and I assume it's still basically the same. I won't be watching.

Sky 3 is rebranding to Pick TV on February 28

So that means sky3+1 will become Pick TV+1

so that a new number challenge is all so the new uk home for all TNA shows

I agree, i'm a fan of a lot of those shows and others. Why are they doing this?, i was under the impressions that 'Channel one/Virgin one' was Virgins answer to Sky one i.e. independant of Sky?. I can't see it being anything to do with viewers as that must of been one of the biggest Freeview channels.

The reason it can be done is last year sky bought virgins channels, this included virgin 1, all living tv channels, challenge tv, bravo.

Bravo was seen by the new owners as too similar to sky one and closed down.
Virgin 1 was rebranded channel one as sky did not license the virgin name.
Channel one was seen by the new owners as too similar to sky 3(I don't see it myself). As such is getting shut down.

Challenge tv is going to be on freeview 46 from February 1st as a replacement to channel one.

But one good thing about challenge tv is that they are going to be showing all TNA wrestling shows including TNA Impact, TNA Xplosion and the TNA pay per views. So if anyone is a wrestling fan they will be able to watch TNA for free.

for me channel one just became the startrek channel showing the same eps over and over again so no big loss. looking forward to watchin tna again

Challenge placeholder is now on channel 46 all ready for its launch tomorrow. This placeholder is on MUX A.
