South Park
Now for something such as this to come out of America and get away with it is simply astonishing, this is why this is by far in my opinion the best comedy to come from across the pond, I would even rate it higher than The Simpsons. What makes this cartoon unique is that it has the most up to date everyday issues which South Park exploits to the fullest. When it first started out back in 1997 it relied on nothing more than toilet humour but since then the series has evolved along with the characters with ever more complex stories and situations. This is not everybody's cup of tea so for the easily offended it's not the show for you but unlike the Simpsons which seems to struggle these days to remain fresh South Park has never had a bad episode and just keeps getting better and better and is one of the few comedy's out there that confronts issues head on and I think Trey Parker and Matt Stone are absolute genius's the like's of we've never seen before or probably see again to have the courage and balls to write in this fashion. Your thoughts please.

RE: South Park
Well this show returns on 5th October....will be interesting to see how they turn around the ending from the mid-season finale.
South Park is one of my favourite ever shows, I've seen and got every episode, but as ILoveMegan has said, there are less original episodes lately and too many topical ones. Some work and some go over our heads as people outside the US might not fully get what's going on (like the Crack Baby episode).
Still, they churn out some cracking episodes (like Medicinal Fried Chicken!) and I will be a massive fan forever, bring on the 5th!

RE: South Park
For those that follow South Park at USA pace, the next episode airs there tonight!
Also, on the 9th October, in USA, there is a South Park documentary, which follows Trey and Matt as they make one of their episodes, the reason this is particularly interesting is that they make an episode in the 6 days before it airs, and then it's on to the next one!

RE: South Park
Cable’s longest-running animated series South Park is headed for the 20-season mark. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the no-holds-barred animated comedy, have closed a new deal with Comedy Central for three more seasons of South Park. The pact will keep the series on through 2016, extending its run to 20 seasons. Parker and Stone will continue to write, direct and edit every episode of South Park, as they have since the series’ premiere in 1997. “The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds,” Comedy Central’s president Michele Ganeless said. “Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central. We’re thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016.”
