Mexico's goal was quality, some will say the keeper should've saved it but I doubt any keeper male or female would've saved this.



You've got to say the Germans know how to put on a football tournament, the crowds are putting the U21 Euros to shame!!!

Women's football is excellent quality. They need better goalkeepers, but the outfield play is very good these days. Nowhere near the pace of the men's game, but very skillful. (My comment about goalkeepers is nothing to do with the goal mentioned above). Women's football is the fastest growing sport in the world.

Makeing all 3 subs with 8 minutes left while trying to defend a 1 goal lead & knowing you have several tired players & your star player started the game injured was a big mistake by Hope Powell.

The big Yank in the England goal was pretty.... Fucking useless at penalties, she not only saved the first but caught it, I can't remember if I've seen a keeper do that before but the other 4 she made zero effort to dive, she just decided to hop in the opposite direction to where it had been placed.

Hope Powell made a huge mistake with the subs but the keeper was just shocking. Roll on the mens Euros, Oh the joy of being English

I said the goalkeepers were not up to scratch in women's football. Otherwise OK though. Good that the BBC did a U-turn and screened the match as I think a world cup quarter final should always be shown live.

I was thinking you could combine all the tits on field & you still wouldn't get a decent handful ! On a more Sporty note-England football team knocked out of major tournament,sounds familier ?

Well all the teams will be knocked out apart from the eventual winner. I don't know why people in this country try so hard to be negative. Reaching the last 8 and losing on penalties isn't really a bad performance. I think people in this county just enjoy being miserable and finding things to moan about.
