Not sure if we are talking at crosspurposes Sooky. Simulated sex is NOT allowed on free adult channels at any time of night. And some of the content in drama and film is real, not simulated. At the moment, Ofcom rule 1.4 allows premium film channels without mandatory PIN protection to show any 18 rated film after 10pm, except "Adult-Sex" material even if it is BBFC rated 18. Channels that are PIN protected can show 18 rated films any time of day. Ordinary unencryted channels seem to allowed to show 18s after 9pm, or 10pm for stonger material.

Broadly speaking cert 18 is sexual content short of anything so explicit there is no doubt that penetration is occuring. Right now the following are banned on babe channels even at 3am:
Invasive clothed shots, eg crotch shots
Prolonged less invasive shots
Images of the labial area - Ofcom has redefined this as anything from the top of the legs, not just the labia.
Rude gestures
Any use of oil or lotion
Liquids that might be ejaculate (OK in All About Mary, cert 15)
Sexually explicit language (anyone watched Frank Skinner?)
Erotic contact between presenters including kissing, stroking or "contact between thighs, breasts or genital areas"*

When I see Jeremy Irons on top of an actress thrusting back and forwards there might not be any penetration, but his being on her and thrusting is real, not simulated. If a babe mounted another and thrusted Ofcom would be all over it. Inconsistent.

Same applies to plenty of dramas, some more explicit than others, such as Rome, Spartacus, Diary of a Call Girl, etc.

Some films go even further, with prolonged sex scenes, and get away with it because they were not filmed to order. Boogie Nights, An American Werewolf In London, The Idiots, AntiChrist to mention a few. All available on free channels with no PIN protection by the way.

Heres the kind of things Ofcom ban now that I think should be allowed for consistency:
Sexually explicit language
Pubes
Lingering non genital shots (breasts, bum, leg)
Brief glimpses of fanny (1-2 seconds) as a babe turns
Outer labia where thongs dont fit perfectly
Thongs
The area between the top of the leg and the labia
Bum crack
Oiling up breasts,thighs, bums
Oiling thongs
Spitting (does nothing for me, but its not cum and only an idiot would think it was)
2-4-1s
Babes mounting each other
Nipple sucking
Bumping and grinding
Spanking
Dildo waving

Late night:
Simulated masturbation (Check "Antichrist" Sooky)
Side on implied masturbation
Implied oral (in plenty of feature films and some drama)

Heres what I do not expect to see on unencrypted channels:
Clear fanny shots
Genital contact, clothed or not
Clear oral
Dildo use
Real ejaculation

All of this is routinely shown on fake documentaries already. Is it too much to ask that babe channels can show the same strength material as films, drama and sex-documentaries?

I remember in days gone past the old Sportxxx encrpted shows aswell as channels such as Babestar TV, so isn't it right for us to expect a return to those days when the shows were made for men and most channels stuck 2 fingers up to those bureaucratic pricks at Ofcom, I don't think it's outwith the realms of possibilty, last nights show's were fucking pathetic and it was an outright insult to us who expected better and with it being Friday night their was really no excuse for it, I'm getting to the point now where I even question the sole purpose of the channels as lately they have become nothing more than a waste of space and a shadow of their former self. I expect and demand better, it's 2011 we live in, not 1911, although you wouldn't think it, you have to stand up for what you believe in and this country has now become a nanny state. I don't expect much but what I do is when channels are clearly labelled as Adult ones they should deliver, I'm fucking sick to death of the shit we have become accustomed to.

Were there masses of complaints in those days? No.

And so the government wants to stop the culture of Booze Britain, well give us a reason to stay in then, it's no coincidence that with the worst kind of Adult entertainment in the whole of Europe that we have to get our kicks elsewhere, when it comes to drinking us Brits win hands down. Pity same couldn't be said about the channels. The very least SKY should do is offer us some kind of encrpted show.

Indeed, no wonder we need to get smashed to drown out the misery of living in such a restricted "free thinking" country.
