there are about 10m stupid people watching xfacto who then buy the shit stuff when its released. i wish itv would grow a set and get rid off the xfactor but they wont has it brings in millions for them in phone and ads.

Oh, Queen WERE excellent. They stopped being so around 1992. These days, May & Taylor seem desperate to flog the brand any way they can (have you seen their plan to have an official touring tribute band?)

Doddle 9th August 1986 - Knebworth Park - Crowd 120,000, that was the very last Queen concert with Freddie Mercury alive on the last leg of 1986 European Magic Tour as Freddie sadly passed away on the 24th November 1991 after a long battle with AIDS. I'm still waiting for an official release of the Knebworth concert, the above was the Friday night concert on the 11th July 1986 at Wembley Stadium which was released as part of the 25th Anniversary since they played Wembley with only the following night's show on the 12th going down as the official release. As far as Nirvana goes I bought the Nevermind CD back in 1991 fresh after hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit which I fondly remember them playing live on Channel 4's The Word, remember that show, these were the days. What I want to see for this year's Christmas No 1 is an original artist with an original song perhaps even a Christmas one as we could do with some new ones, every time I hear Noddy Holder singing Merry Christmas Everybody I want to extract my teeth with some pliers.

why is it that the winner of the previous shitfactor release their debut albumns during the live shitfactor shows? at least the bbc had a singing competition which had singing coaches and the contestants had to write their own songs and perform them.

Thanks for reminding me bigguy that the Darkness were the last act to pen a Christmas song, that year being 2003 which is probably the worst song I've ever heard, hence the reason it never claimed the no 1 spot that year. Anyway I'm all for an original artist reaching this years Christmas NO 1 spot. Nirvana's Smell's like teen spirit has had it's day and is now very much old hat. We need to stop the X-Factor machine this Christmas but for the right reasons instead of simply trying to stick 2 fingers up with an old rerelease.

Lana Del Rey - Video Games.. this deserves to be the christmas number 1 because she has the most fuckable lips and it's not a bad tune...
