Tonights show with Sami and Leigh two of my favS However from other threads this cannot be recorded on Freeview, does anyone know if this is still the case or how to get round the restriction

You need to have 2 recorders 1 to view 1 to record

any hitachi twin tuner freeview recorder should do the trick .

Yes I bought one as well on your recommendation I already had a Panasonic HDD/ DVD recorder l record from the Hitachi onto this to make a DVD to keep

Hello, many thanks for that, some more questions if I set my recorder on my Humax after putting in the PIN and then try to watch it on my TVONICS with one attached via a Scart and the other attached via a HDMI will that work or is there some other process which I need to follow.
Also if I log into the show with the same PIN from two devices would that not trigger some alarm at their end and end my viewing?
If it involves linking one PVR to another and recording on one and watching on the other please let me know how exactly I should be doing this as I have tried and failed in the past and was unable to even get a picture

You only need a pin for the source machine you then connect them with a scarf lead and select av2 on the record machine

Hello trying this to no avail I have done the following
Connected my record maschine via Scart to the source machine
Source machine is connected to the TV by a HDMI
AV2 Shows not populated it is only the HDMI that is populated A

Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong on this your help is appreciated

I'm with Sky Tv, my dvd recorder has two scart ports, one is av1 the other is Av2 (decoder)... my scart comes from recorder scart Av2 (decoder) into source scart ...HDMi cable from source to tv...recorder set at Av2....my tv is not set to Av2, its left on the HDMi channel , so you record only what you see, ie the channel on the screen
