The live show on an encrypted channel needs to push the boundaries. That is how censorship defeated. Sport got away with showing hours of genuine hardcore for months and afaik never got fined a penny...our members are fans of these channels and should be treated with respect. Falsely advertising a product's quality is a no no except for some reason in the sex entertainment industry...

The only way things will improve is if

That's not true. I did the trial membership thing this weekend. Initially I got the technical error message, but one of the things written on the message was something along the lines of "there may be a problem, or it may be you have only just subscribed" blah blah blah.

So I decided to give it 5 minutes, and sure enough when I went back I was able to get the tv pin number. So basically, pay for the trial early evening rather than last minute, and I doubt there'll be a problem.

On this weekend's shows. The web content was pretty good - but they need to sort out their stream cos there were times when it was horribly blocky.

The Freeview shows were ok. They were about as strong as I expected, but as I stated earlier it was obvious that they had been told not to touch or spread their pussies. I asked about it on the producer's blog and was told the reason BSX can't show it where other channels do is because BSX is a live show.

I know live shows in the past have been stronger, and I'm not aware of any change in the actual broadcasting code, so I guess that Ofcom's "interpretation" has once again moved it's goalposts.

So, for the foreseeable future, hardcore on the web, pussies shown but not interacted with on freeview.

The other disappointment is show length. The implication from the ads is that there is 2 hours on the web and up to 3 or 4 on freeview, where the ACTUAL shows were (I think) about 45 minutes each (one on web, one on freeview. Definitely an own goal by BSX I think.

Realistically the chances of that happening are zero. Otherwise the freeview supplier would be up in arms. BSX has only just got back on freeview, so they aren't going to do anything risky now. The name of the game at the moment is to play safe, to safeguard their presence on freeview.

Spine of an Amoeba springs to mind. Show harder output or give in to censorship and shut down.

In that link that you posted yourself it states that "Ofcom has the power to act against UK-based broadcasters that offer R18 content or hardcore pornography." How would they know if a channel was dabbling in R18 content unless they went through channel output hour by hour to see for themselves what was being broadcast?

As Mr Mystery said, if Ofcom had taken any action it would have been reported in their monthly bulletins but there has been no mention of it.

Evidence, please.

So as far as we know nobody ever fined Sportxxx in the great days of tongues, toys and buttplugs and BSX has not been hit with any monetary penalty. Also Playboy and TVX show close up action that is waay more explicit than BSX. If you want to compete you need to match or exceed the oppositions product. Anyone know if TVX on Freeview's output is exactly the same as SKY? If so BSX can safely go harder without any fear of prosecution.
