Paralympian - Oscar Pistorius Arrested for murder?

I think today was another good day for the state the questionnaire asked before Oscar bought guns proved he understood you had to identify friend or for before firing, adjourned now till tomorrow Barry Roux had little to say today just a question repeated about timeline of arrival of detective

All very well to say you should identify friend or foe before shooting in questionaire , much more difficult to do when faced with situation in reality

He knew the theory but if he could not put it into practice then he has no business having a gun.

Oscar takes to the stand it should be an interesting few day's.

Pistorius doesn't seem very convincing in the witness box, as the prosecuting barrister probes and probes into his version of events. He's claiming he didn't mean to fire the gun and he doesn't remember his finger being on the trigger.

His story is ridiculous. Hard to believe that anybody could be fooled by it.

I've kept an open mind on this but after listening to his performance over the last few days I think he's shot himself in the foot. Oh, hold on.......

Geez, I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of the main prosecutor, he looks a determined bugger. Don't think Oscars little boy lost routine is working so far. Prosecution winning on points up to now IMO.

I don't think this case is over yet. South Africa is a very violent place and home burglaries are up 70% in the past decade. Recently over half of all South Africans surveyed said they had told police they were afraid of having their homes broken into. Not to mention Pistorius is more physically vulnerable than most people. The judge could yet believe his claims (or at least give him the benefit of the doubt) that he had a real fear of an armed intruder that night and overtaken by panic had mistakenly shot his girlfriend.

I think pistorius will get away with it but at the same time after today's proceedings you just gotta consider common sense, why not shout and find out whose in the toilet or put on his legs and simply knock? Dunno why shooting would be top of his priority
