Confederations Cup Brasil 2013

What a game. Absolutely top notch. Two good teams.

Japan have their own unique style of football. So refreshing to see for me. First time i've seen them in years, so impressed. They keep the ball well and move it around at pace and they penetrate. If they were better at the back they'd be a real top side.

Somebody should snap up Honda on a free transfer. Quality footballer.

Japan paid a heavy price for conceding a sloppy goal from a corner just before half time to rejuvinate Italy.
Italy got in front, predictably sat back while Japan dithered on the edge of both boxes without getting enough balls into the Italian box in open play. When Japan did equalize it was from guess what........ a ball into the box from a free kick . From then on it was mayhem until the end but typically Italy got the winner and Japan had a goal correctly chalked off at the death.
It was farcical stuff by the finish .
Frenetic game where both teams made a lot of careless mistakes but hey it was fun .

I disagree Snookered was Great football by Japan and Strong mentality by Italy, the only Farsical thing was some of the refereeing. Best game in a long time.

Loved that game, Japan can take alot from this tournament and improve for the World Cup with better decision making at the back the main thing to focus on, that Okazaki is some player and their left back nagatomo was outstanding, some of the one touch moves and Honda/kagawa link up was good to watch.

You can be sure it will not be us, we will rather spend 7million on Barca B players

Football eh. Game of opinions.
As I say though it was fun to watch .

best game of the tournament.. why japan are ranked so low is beyond me..

Forlan is still Class, one of the best finishers there is. Cavani is so over rated, good look who ever buy him.. He score goals against poor teams, never show up in big games or Uruguay.
