RE: Website Show Prices
Is it worth mentioning that the current price is not really £1.50 for 2 nights, because if you want to see one specific show you would still have to pay £1.50?

FFS?

thats like going to a concert and asking to stay for one song and then whinging cos you still pay for the whole concert, or going to the cinema and asking to pay 50% cos you only want to see half the film!

OK , its £1.50 per night and they give you a second night free

or

its £1.50 per night but buy two and get 50% off both

or

its a 2 for 1 offer!

Well, no it wasn't, if you'd used the correct analogy. Which would be buying a ticket for a band you liked but not wanting to go back and see a different band the following night. So you were in effect paying full price for the band you did want to see.

I'm not arguing about the pricing, it was just the analogy I choked on Smile

Sorry, what?

Ok, ok, I'll get my coat.......Wink

I think anyone of average intelligence would have understood what I meant perfectly. As they say, it's not rocket science. However, as you seem not to understand, I will repeat the point and spell it out for you. If I want to watch Lacey Lorenzo I have to pay £1.50. I won't be in the following day, so whatever they broadcast then won't be of any interest. Do I get a discount for not being in the following day? No I don't. Hence, my remark that the current price is not really £1.50 for 2 nights, because if you want to see one specific show only you would still have to pay £1.50. The Silent Majority didn't seem to have any problems in understanding the point being made.

I have to say your attempts to rebut the point I'm making were remarkably useless. You said its £1.50 per night but buy 2 and get 50% off both. How can I buy 2 when I'm not in the following day, or whoever's on the show the following day is of no interest to me? Then you said its a 2 for 1 offer, but again what use is that when I'm not in the following day, or whoever's on the following day is of no interest? You also said its £1.50 per night and they give you a second night free - a statement of the obvious, but another useless argument. How can I get a second night free when I'm not in the following day, or whoever's on the show the following day is of no interest to me?

...

You are absolutely, totally, 100% wrong!

Anyone of 'average intelligence' should be able to understand the pricing, it's incredibly plain and simple, £1.50 for 2 nights, that's it.
Whether you choose to watch both nights is entirely up to you, but it's still £1.50 for 2 nights regardless. You have access to the site the second night whether you use it or not.

It's no different to other pricing strategies where you pay up front for a certain amount whether you use it or not. I pay for unlimited broadband useage, but I don't use it 24 hours a day, constantly downloading, just because I paid for that. I pay for an annual TV license, but I pay the same whether my TV is on 24-7 or if I only watch 1 hour a day. Some car parks charge a fixed amount for say 4 hours of parking. Doesn't matter if you are there 4 hours or 10 minutes, it cost the same, you are paying for 4 hours worth of parking privilege, whether you use it or not.

I am well aware that it's £1.50 for 2 nights. That much is not in dispute. The point I'm making is that if I want to watch one specific show it will cost me £1.50 to watch it. In other words, I'm not paying £1.50 for 2 nights of my choosing. When it does come to the second night of my choosing I will have to pay the £1.50 again.

So the issue is semantics then.
How about £1.50 for 2 consecutive nights. Is that sufficiently clear Smile
