Agnetha: ABBA and After is on the Yesterday channel tomorrow (Monday) at 10pm.

Pop stars come together to share their views on her rise to fame with Abba and her life after the band split.

Seems like a fast turnaround for a doc that's only, what, a year old.

I saw one on The Monkees last night which must be 15-odd years old, and which I tend to re-watch because it's entertaining stuff Tongue

Yesterday are well known for showing episodes again after only having shown then 3 weeks earlier. I'm a fan of the Sounds of the 70's but when they show them they're quite often the ones I've seen before, so I'm rarely disappointed if I miss them. Rolleyes I do like The Monkees but their Daydream Believer song doesn't make all that much sense to me. How can you cheer up if you're sleepy? laugh

What kills me about the Monkees is that they devised this perfect pop group for a telly show. So they got 2 actors and 2 musicians to show both sides of the idea. The 2 actors were fine. The 2 musicians wanted to do their OWN music, and that's when the trouble started... Tongue

A 90s special of TOTP 2 on BBC 2 tonight 11:30-00:30.

Top of the Pops: 1979 on BBC 4 tonight 00:25-01:25.

Sounds of the Eighties on BBC 4 tomorrow night 7:00-7:30 , a repeat of last night's show.

The Billy Joel one was quite fun. Oddly, whilst Billy is now showing his age, Christie Brinkley looked like she filmed her chatting bits 25 years ago! Wink

Tomorrow night (Friday) it's supposedly Part 2 of Sounds of the Eighties. BBC 4, 7pm - 7:30pm.

And NO Mark Radcliffe! Big Grin

Considering it was apparently made in 1995, it doesn't seem to have been repeated to death like Sounds of the Sixties (and the Seventies).

I don't anticipate Sounds of the Nineties anytime soon.
