In the curling match between the GB and the German team. The normal unflappable German's blew a simple chance to win the end and also the match. The pressure finally got to their final player. It makes you wonder why they didn't use their skip on the final leg.

GB won 7-6.

The final player for Germany had a bad last few ends, was an important win and a better second half of game for Murdoch

yep thats the luck u need and we got it they had the chance last stone and messed up luckily rite now at the minute the american women are having a nightmare against the gb women curlers who are paying quite well.

Eve's team just scored 7 in 4th end to go 9-1 up

^^^ 7 in one end! you wouldn't even see that score in my local curling club on a friday night!

only joking, i haven't got a local curling club. i've got a local hurling club, but that's not quite the same thing.

Fuck me this Half Pipe Final is Friggin Awesome

agree I watched it as well. also watched the 1st ever women's ski jump final and Germany's Carina Vogt won a historic Gold medal.

for me the winter Olympics start tomorrow with the 1st games in the mens ice hockey tournament

A good day for both curling GB teams.
Eve Muirhead played particularly strongly although the American skip was very poor.
The ladies have a tough task tomorrow though as they face the might of the Canadians.
Canada tend to blow hot and cold but if they blow hot then Team GB will face an almighty struggle.

Well done to Chemmy Alcott in finishing 19th in the Ladies Downhill in her final olympics.
She's fought back from numberious injuries including two broken legs.



She was also in Dancing on Ice a few years ago
